movement is gaining momentum. they are being joined by similar groups from around the world. the message is the same. what started as a protest is starting to look like a movement. >> in nearly a month, what began as a protest to occupy wall street has gone global. demonstrators have taken up because in london, berlin, paris, hong kong, and australia. >> we will fight for our rights. >> in washington, the rev. al sharpton joined the ranks of the protesters. >> it is time for us to occupy wall street, washington, alabama. we have come to take our country back to the people. >> the message was the same in columbia, south carolina. >> i would love to get a job.

>> the latest polls show the protesters are not alone. 37% of americans support the cause. >> we are calling on people everywhere. >> where the protests began, they say they're doing a lot more than making noise. they are trying to change the world. until they do, they say they're not going anywhere. >> demonstrators in baltimore rallied on the streets downtown today. kim dacey is live with more on the organization that joined the protesters today. >> four weeks, protesters have been lining the streets of downtown baltimore. they continue this evening. several groups are coming together for the same cause. the protesters have been camped

in downtown baltimore for nearly two weeks. >> there is a lot of weight and frustration and anger out there that is not articulated. people are starting to articulate. >> saturday afternoon, they were joined by members of moveon.org. members say both organizations are working towards social justice and equality. >> the creation of jobs, the rehabilitation of our infrastructure, the tax on millionaires to support that, and to reduce the military. it is mainly for jobs and justice. >> the protesters say they will stay out here as long as needed. it is all part of the american dream movement. we will have more on that at 11:00. kim dacey for w. gale -- wbal-tv 11 news.

neck this morning on belmont avenue. the search for the gunman continues. a man who was gunned down in east baltimore has died. shots were fired around 8:00 last night on east 29th street. investigators say when officers arrived, they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. he died at the scene. the gunman is still a large. anyone with information on these incidents is asked to call the homicide unit. the 2011 baltimore marathon is officially in the history books. we will take a look at the winners and the many faces of this year's race. >> you have a massive response to the disappearance of this little girl. >> is day 12 in the search for missing toddler from kansas city. we will have the latest on the investigation and the efforts to find the 10-mo

authorities of trying to recreate how someone might have broken into the house the night the little girl went missing. they've also released recent pictures and videos of the toddler hoping someone will recognize her. she vanished from her. nearly two weeks ago. >> here is your weather forecast with meteorologist john collins. >> we have clear skies. there is rain in new york state. the rain is from a storm in canada. that has generated the wind. we did not get the rain. in the west, there is some rain as well. that may have an impact on our weather looking ahead. let's look at the numbers. lots of sunshine drove the temperature up to 71 at the airport. 67 is typical. the peak wind gusts were 27 miles an hour. they did have gusts up to 50 to the west of us. tomorrow morning will be

chillier than today. temperatures will be mostly in the 60's. it is 71 downtown. on the boardwalk, it is 67. the blue and green is in the 50's in far western maryland. it is almost a windchill situation. here is the storm in eastern canada. it is strong enough that we have had gusty conditions. the rain was up in new york state. there is a disturbance in the plains and rocky is -- rockies. we're still looking for some good weather here. there will not be much moisture with it. things will not change much. it will be chilly tonight with clear skies. it will not be as windy. the wind will get below 10 miles an hour. 42 to 48 will be the overnight low. we will have morning sun tomorrow with increasing clouds in the afternoon.

the southwest wind will be 10 to 50 miles an hour. 67 to 72 will be the high. it depends on a house in the clouds come in. -- it depends on how soon the clouds come in. the forecast shows the storm to the north of us. there is the other disturbance in the west. we will still be in good shape late monday. we will be picking up clouds. early monday morning, a sprinkle may pass through. the chances of rain are not high. the real chance of rain will be late tuesday into wednesday. here is the 7-day forecast. we will have partly cloudy skies. temperatures will be in the 60's during the game. sunday the high will be 69. tuesday into wednesday are the highest chances of rain. >> this is 11 sports.

>> imagine the ravens play without the rays. that is kind of the situation the texans are in tomorrow. their top player will not play because of a hamstring injury. mario williams is out for the season with a torn pec muscle. houston is 3 and 2 this season. the ravens are averaging 13 points in the first. that is the best in the nfl. the texans are third in that department. both teams enjoyed getting off to a good start. >> it will be an interesting thing to look out early in the game. it is really important to get the lead. when you get it, you want to keep it. it is not complicated. both teams of have success doing that. hopefully, it will be us. >> you have to wonder what the terps were thinking.

you are supposed to schedule an easy opponent on homecoming. the homecoming crowd will be anxious to see who will start as quarterback. it has been a rough season for danny o'brien. last week, he threw his sixth interception in five games. his fellow sophomore came in with the long touchdown run. the head coach would not say who would start tonight. we will find out when the two teams take the field. kickoff is at 7:00. the navy football team was put to the test today. they have lost three straight going into the game against rutgers. it is their longest losing streak in nine years. that streak is now at four games. they lost 21-20. the fall to two and four on the season.

place in his first ever marathon. his final was 2 hours 15 minutes and 16 seconds. he is exhausted with good reason. it was an incredible accomplishment. in the women's race, olena shurkhno winning for the second straight year. her time was 2 hours 29 minutes and 11 seconds. that is a women's record in the event. john collins will run to the desk and give us the 7-day after this.

women and children have been homeless for a year or more. in these tough times in the cities across the country are grappling with what to do. the journey home as baltimore's 10-year plan to stop homelessness in the city. mayor stephanie rawlings-blake has formed a leadership council with the united way, businesses, service providers, and other city agencies and organizations to implement the plan. the basis of journey home is to join forces to provide services so that homeless people can get into permanent housing with the support services they need to eventually be independent and self-supporting. 100 families have already been helped. they prove that removing the housing crisis for a family gives them the stability to address their other needs and move forward. the council is working to end yet tights and misconceptions of the homeless population in an effort to create awareness and raise funds, wbal-tv 11 is
