chicago, illinois, the site of tonight's game six between the blackhawks and canucks. hoping to end the series tonight. welcome to hockey central. bill patrick alongside keith jones and jeremy roenick. the big news for chicago, defenseman brent seabrooke is healthy and back in the lineup. is that good news considering the way chicago's been playing lately, is that good news for them? >> i think it's great news. whenever you put a guy like brent seabrooke, 6'2", 232 pound guy, you're going to get physicality. he came in and shut down the sedins. they need him strong here. in game three, the big hit. that big hit knocked brent seabrook out of the game.

throwing the sedins around at 6'2, he is a big body and plays bigger. he's had a great season. these two have a great, great pair and great mix going. this is a great thing for chicago blackhawks as they get this big old burley man back into the game. >> no question that hit against seabrook motivated the chicago blackhawks. they got them back in the series. they got david bolin back in the mix. this series turned david bolin one of the best two-way center iceman, he's been physical, smart. he's had an edge to his game. duncan keith also productive. blackhawks have got themselves back in the series with nastiness of their own. started by david bolin. he's chipped in offensively as well with an assistant right there on michael frolik.

duncan keith has been outstanding. he's been mean. he's been dirty. he's bin riled up. the chicago hawks appreciated his efforts. four goals in the last three games. number two stepped up and provided the offensive spark. he's been everything to the hawks on the blue line. >> there is no doubt why they won the stanley cup last year. now that fire that got them the stanley cup. these guys are finding that stanley cup feeling again. they are battling hard. >> the sedins have not been the same. is it because of the presence of dave bolland? >> they bring talent. when talent goes against bolland that gets in your grill, your kitchen? it creates a lot of frustration. here in the first two, three games these two are unbelievable. nine points, plus seven between the two. games four and five they

disappear, only one point between the two of them. this is worse, minus nine. if the canucks expect to win the game, sedins have to show up. this whole team revolves around those two. if they shut them down tonight, the blackhawks win again. >> the another key factor for vancouver was ryan kessler. 41 goals. he provided a lot of secondary scoring. if you can call 41 goals secondary, he's been nonexistent. he is a physical guy that should be more of a factor on the road games. he'll get the goals if he plays harder. >> spotlight is clearly on vancouver goalie roberto luongo. through the years in the playoffs, he's got terrific numbers when he does not play chicago. he goes up against the blackhawks, it's a much different story. those numbers are ugly. on nbc, they are of the opinion luongo might play badly that the defense corps in front of him

might be to blame. >> not necessarily. luongo has been shooting high. chicago getting traffic in front. they have exposed the glove hand of roberto luongo. luongo had a tremendous regular season. the kryptonyte for roberto luongo has been the chicago blackhawks. 19 career playoff losses. ten against the chicago blackhawks. fans hope it's 11 after night. >> blackhawks are going to continue to shoot high. especially on roberto luongo's glove handle. watch tonight how hawks get into the crease. get into his grill. roberto luongo does not like traffic and does not like to get bumped around. he likes to get comfortable in there. look for the blackhawks to rattle his cage. >> this is going to be fun. coverage of game six between vancouver and chicago on versus begins at 7:00 eastern time. they are filing into the united center for game six tonight.

overtime score, we begin with is 4-4. we will end at some point. who knows when at 5-4. somebody, either a seventh game in philadelphia or if the sabres win, it's all over here. what did we watch before going into overtime? >> eddie: with the game the way it's been, trading chances, flyers had majority of the better play. long changes in overtime. defensive zone is the farthest away from your bench. you have to make sure you change before your turn, make sure your team has possession before you make a change. the puck's got to get in deep. you don't want to give up odd-man situations early. especially with the long change during overtime. >> darren: one player to look for the philadelphia flyers, niedermayer. >> doc: in dueling stats, paul gaustad has won 15-22 faceoffs.

that is an impressive performance. stafford takes the first one and wins it here in the overtime. gragnani with this. steps ahead. lobs it wide. timonen pushed it ahead on second effort. came as far as leopold. he and gragnani are the defense. stafford working up front with ennis as well as niedermayer. ennis couldn't get it. careened for gragnani. stafford holding to the outside. accelerates. played further by mike richards. led off the stick. timonen flopped it ahead. it will go down for an icing touch. offensive zone faceoff and flyers can't change. these are the historic overtime goal scorers.

ennis was just in game five. pominville in the past and montador. briere a couple of times, carcillo and giroux. >> eddie: some coaches, never a bad play to get the puck to the net in the offensive zone. defensive zone stopping and starting, get yourself to the middle of the ice. >> doc: reversed it along for the play to be made by timonen. he had to stay out there. he wanted to come off. because of the icing, he could not. back to him. eighth time brian boucher has been in a playoff overtime game. he won four of the prior seven. ryan miller in his 13th has won 7-12. too far for giroux. yet another icing. most dramatic overtime game

brian boucher ever played in was that epic five overtime victory against the pittsburgh penguins in pittsburgh. >> darren: five overtimes. tim primeau with his phenomenal pass. proves he's got the stamina to go a long way. there was a lot of hasty nutrition for those teams. >> doc: the five overtime team would be detroit because of the little caesar's chain produced pizzas which is one of the most popular overtime foods. ellis. shot in front. blocked free into the slot area and begin back down and center to zherdev. a bouncer hopped out of the glove of miller. zherdev began around. flyers are finally in the midst of that change they wanted. mike richards. could not hold along the boards. that's hartnell. lifted on back further for a

>> darren: long as this goes, you've got to favor philadelphia. buffalo sabres have a lot of guys that haven't been given as much time. >> doc: the flier defense played so much can deal with it. >> darren: they seem to be. finding some time. >> doc: leino sends it across. run back on and shot off the glove of miller. poked around. let that shot go. hands it back to the point. timonen gave it back on to ville leino. chased out near the blue line. blocked free. ellis scoops it ahead. vanek escaping up the wings. sends it up there. block by timonen. shoots one. another try. score! leino. there will be a seventh game.

ville leino has won it in overtime at 4:43 for the philadelphia flyers. game seven tuesday night back in philadelphia. >> eddie: we talked about the long changes. flyers have an odd-man situation. there is one, now the second one. look at ville leino. where does he go? he goes to the front of the net. we talked about paul gaustad going hard to the net earlier in overtime and stopping? ville leino goes there. he stops in front. versteeg. leino fans on it a second. he gets another opportunity. watch leino right there.

he fans out the first time and he comes back. he's able to beat butler to the back of the net. the philadelphia flyers live to fight another day, as you mentioned, game seven tuesday night back in philadelphia. the reaction from the flier bench. what a game. >> darren: ville leino, you and the philadelphia flyers extend this series. is that the biggest goal in your nhl career? >> it is so far. it was nice to have that. we are going to have a big game in two days. >> darren: what was the feeling when you were down in this game, you had to make a goalie change and came back? >> it's tough if you're trailing. we've done it before. we were close last game. this game we got the reward. >> darren: your line continues to click great chemistry. >> we played good today. this was our best game.
