on how to best restore stability to the global financial markets. >> the president arrives here in late in the day to meet with the world's 20 largest economic powers for the g-20 summit for the next couple of days. the big issue has to deal with trade. the white house thinks china has been artificially keeping the value of its currency float. they say that makes chinese goods cheaper than american goods, which is unfair to u.s. competitiveness. we expect the president to bring it up when he meets with the chinese president tomorrow. the two sides have been trying to get a deal on the free-trade agreement. the big issue is automobiles, and the u.s. wants the markets to be opened. the two sides are trying to

hammer out a deal. >> good news from the unemployment front. fewer people applied for unemployment aid last week. the labor department says initial claims for jobless aid dropped to 435,000. many economists expected a smaller decrease. if the decline continues, it could signal a meaningful improvement in the job market. the plan could bring jobs to a baltimore community. jennifer franciotti has more. >> the baltimore city council unanimously approved preliminary plans for the next use development, calling for 330,000 square foot retail space which includes a walmart, a lowe's home improvement center, and specialty shops. >> it has been a very well

eight years in prison after pleading guilty to voluntary manslaughter and second-degree assault. investigators say he killed a 23-year-old and wounded another during a confrontation at an off-campus apartment. all, and he fired his shotgun in self-defense. anne arundel county police say they need your help in the search for a man who raped a woman after she took out her trash. authorities have released this sketch of the suspect, so take a look. he is an african american male, 6 feet tall, 250 pounds. he was wearing a red sweatshirt at the time of the assault. the victim was walking back to her apartment monday evening when the suspect came out of the bushes, followed, and then attacked her. he fled the area on foot.
