This movie uses a standard mystery plot (villain murders his enemies by proxy) with a standard horror movie ending (villain destroyed by his own monster thanks to relentless investigator) yielding no surprises, no suspense, no dramatic tension, and no horror.

There's nothing good to say about the acting or screenplay either. It does have a pretty good animatronic monster, though takeoffs and landings look phony.

I downloaded the MPEG-2 file. The video is a bit too dark sometimes, but it and the audio are otherwise fine.

George Zucco really does deserve the title of "King of the B-movies" however, that's being generous!

It's good for a laugh and I'll bet I know how Zucco gets it in the end....
