Subject: Another great, old Popeye cartoon!
Unlike the color Popeye cartoons from the 1950's which were rather banal and soporific; the old, 1930's Popeye cartoons had a lot of witty wisecracks, bizarre characters, and animistic, morphing objects which makes them far more fun to watch.
For example, in this cartoon Popeye partially turns into an octopus to attack Bluto. Another great scene in this one is when Olive Oyl does a truly weird dive off of the diving board. Great stuff! You'll really enjoy watching all of these old Popeye cartoons. Click on the "classic cartoon" link to find most of them and the "popeye" link to find the rest. Enjoy!
