caught my attention this week. first, out of kentucky where attorney general merrick garland announced this week th justice department found reasonable cause to believ that louisville metro police department, and city governments engaged in a pattern of conduct tha violated citizen constitutional and civil rights investigation came following the 2020 death of 26-year-ol breonna taylor then, in tennessee where the judge blocked the release of 2 additional hours of footage an audio relating to the fata police beating of tyre nichols in january the footage was set to b released wednesday

but an attorney for one of the five memphis police officers charged with murdering the 29-year-old nichols, filed a last-minute request to block its release. the judges decision came jus hours after the doj said i would conduct a review of th memphis police department. in february, as president of national action network, i delivered the eulogy a nichols's funeral where vice president kamala harris also delivered remarks. i do believe that the delaying the release of this footage is delaying justice for the tyr nichols family, and for tyre nichols. the first round of body camera footage was disturbing on it own. and should be enough to convic all officers charged with this murder we will have much more on thes two stories with civil right attorney ben crump tomorrow, right here on politicsnation that does it for me.
