for today we have to deal with a very soggy start, we will however see some improvement lead go into the afternoon. let me take to you a look at our live neighborhood network across the river you can see rain drops on the camera lens there completely overcast skies, a lot of areas are dealing with fog, rain, as we begin this sunday morning. lets look at storm scan three we are seeing more light rain making its way in to portions of philadelphia, heavier downpours when we pick out yellow, orange, ocean county, burlington county near pemberton, this heavy downpour they come through moving out very quickly but they are no fun either way, we will zoom out, to see out west of our region and portions of central maryland as well as into portions of pennsylvania, just west of lancaster where we are monitoring another line, of some pockets of heavier downpours moving through in the next few hours and then we should see improvement as far as the rain's concern. forty-four in philadelphia.

lower body. student from marjory stoneman douglas high school in park land, florida will aloud to return to their school today for counseling. as correspondent, laura podest a shows us there are new questions about the initial response to the shooting by some deputies. >> broward county sheriff's office says it is investigating claims that second three departments did not go into marjory stoneman douglas high school when they should have. cbs learned that, carol springs office's arrived shortly after the shooting and found deputies outside with guns drawn. a fourth deputy school resource officer scott peterson resigned this week, sheriff said peterson took a defensive position outside the school during the shooting. nineteen year-old nikolas cruz is suspect of shooting and killing 17 students and teachers in under 10 minutes on valentines day. on sunday students can return to school for counseling, and a orientation. >> we will try and get back to as normal as possible and really take care of the

the school district is borrowing buses, and repairing ones that sustained damage, the fire which happened early friday destroyed 16 newly purchased buses in the garage and damaged about a dozen other buses parked outside, the price tag on that damage is more than two million-dollar. we're new learning more about a series of crashes involving parked cars along a south philadelphia street. police say a suspect drunk driver hit 15 cars on the very same block, "eyewitness news" reporter alycia nieves explains how neighbors made sure that the suspect did not get a way. >> shattered glass and plastic car parts, still litter this street in south philadelphia 24 hours after an out of control driver came down, south third street, ramming into one car, after another, after another. >> it was like mass his tear use down here, i said everybody was walk around the street looking at everybody's car. >> reporter: fifteen vehicles were hit. >> three or four were totaled.

>> reporter: authorities say out of control driver attempted to flee toward porter street, in his ford f 150 truck. >> i took the vehicle down with another inane. >> reporter: report this off-duty sheriff's officer and people in the community wouldn't let him. >> i got kids and for that to happen and somebody to get hurt or killed. even if i'm not an officer a normal person would take off and do what you have to do because you have to stop the person before they hurt anybody else. >> reporter: michael mcgee thought about kid in the neighborhood potentially getting hurt chased down out of control driver and then eventually yanked that driver out of his truck. >> he pulled the guy's belt off and used that to pull his hands because he was resisting on the ground. >> he said i'm from the neighborhood. i said i don't care. if you are from the neighborhood then you know how to act. >> reporter: philadelphia police say when they arrived on the scene that out of control driver was on the ground with the crowd of people from this neighborhood, surrounding him. authorities took him into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence and now identify him as four

three-year old james kieser, in south philadelphia, alycia nieves for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". wilmington police have charged two people in the death of the 15 month-old child, this is one of the suspects, 37 year-old levar harris, and investigators say that the child's mother left her baby in the care of harris and another suspect last week, the two suspects were arrested on murder charges but no word on how the child died. it has been one week since a fire gutted an olde city building this week demolition crews are expect to start tearing it down. four alarm fire destroyed 239 chestnut street, philadelphia 's department of licenses and inspections says that what is left of the building is imminently dangerous and it has to go, and demolition is supposed to take place for about a week, there will be road closures during that work and you can find that information on cbs philly.com. happening today, round two of the mummers parade.

for. >> girls are in the mid of their warm up for tenth annual pink invitational getting ready to compete in just a few minutes. these lovely women have raised money for us over course have the year and then give money back to unite for her, non- profit, support would go man with breast cancer. >> awesome. there are a lot of women who benefit, given two and a half million-dollar over the past 10 years, tenth year, this is a big deal, tell me your story because this touches you closely, is that right. >> it does, yes in, 2012 i was diagnosed with breast cancer at age of 30, totally out of the blue and while my medical team really helped, you know, cure the cancer unite for her came in as a really important way to help heel the rest of me, acupuncture, ohio, massage therapy, and there is a therapies, for you, through money raise by pink invitation al. >> you came back and you have
