eagles are super bowl champions: now it is time to bring the them home along with the lombardi trophy. >> get the parade ready on broad street, baby. underdogs. >> you know eagles fans have been embracing the underdog mentality but no more, new era , new champions, and fans, who can't wait for that parade >> un for the lip, though, some of the celebrations got out of control. fans climbing polls, cars being overturned, and store windows smashed. we're live in center sit way look at some of the damage that could cause some real problems for your morning commute. >> let's focus on the positive , i'm wearing the suit again, today is monday, february 5th, good morning, i'm jim donovan. >> i'm rahel solomon. jim, might be your last time for awhile? >> may have to put it in the sport hall of fame. >> mondays are a lot easier when you wake up like chap johns. >> and i have to say this dress is wool, thank you, jim. sweating. hey, good morning, guys, when i was cents in minneapolis, doing all of these interviews, the one thing everyone kept saying is there is something

he's hit. he stum recalls, he's throwing it, deep for the end zone. and it is battered around. and incomplete. and the game is over. the eagles! the philadelphia eagles are super bowl champions. >> i feel like you can replay that spot over and over. >> i was just thinking the same thing. >> it doesn't get old. eagles celebrated first lombardi trophy. wasn't easing beating the patriots. >> tens of thousands of fans spilled out on to the street. chopper three over frankford and cottman over mayfair, just couldn't contain of the eagles winningest bottle. some even popped champagne in the streets to celebrate. >> some did get out of hand. spotted this car on fire, one of the few act every vandalism that leave the city cleaning up for days. >> and "eyewitness news" other chantee lans live in center city where some fans left behind broken glass and damaged property. >> good morning, chantee, what do you have out there?

>> good morning, jim and rahel we have a smash window here at macy's, market street and juniper. they boarded it up now. when we first got here you saw glass, shattered glass all over the sidewalk this is part of the reason it has been taken offer. i want to get you some video of the window actually being smash. >> this was posted on social media. now, no word on any arrests cents or if anyone was hurt. now, the woman who post that video says police responded immediately. and there was no looting. now i want to show you some other video. this is of the ritz carlton, shows the clams of an awning. and the aftermath. this was posted by several people on social media. again, no word on if that guy, those folks, were badly injured or not. but, back out here live on the east side of city hall here, see people walking around now. kind of the beginning of the

morning commute. but what specifically i want to show you, these orange cones, where these or ankle cones, are that's exactly where light polls were standing hours ago, right after the super bowl win. well, now it is just orange cones, they've been removed by city workers. they still need to replace that. police are still on scene. because they will have to direct traffic, more cars on the road, and drivers need to be safe. as well as pedestrians. actual crosswalk signs is missing. i showed you guys that earlier this morning. so, again, all of that stuff has to be replaced. and will be out here monitoring the situation, and bring you the very latest as is we get it. that's the very latest update we have. live in center city, chantee lans, cbs-3, "eyewitness news ," jim, rahel. >> all right, chantee, thank you. >> once the game was over, many eagles fans headed into the streets. >> many buying new eagles gear trang do live in center city where the models opened about an hour ago, good morning,

trang. >> reporter: well, good morning, rahel, jim. yep, some of the fans actually did not go home. they went straight from the celebrations cents here to the models at 16th and chestnut. they opened the doors at 5:00 a.m. tons ready to accommodate all of these fans that you see, one coming out right now, and this woman is just like all of the other fans i've been seeing so far this morning. just bags full of merchandise. they've got so much in there. t-shirt, and hats, and pennants, sweatshirts, anything you can think of. that has that super bowl championship lettering on it. so that you can really show your pride in this eagles team but take look, lots of people wait to go show their pride, for the team, this is chopper three video, over the center city last night, just incredible site. tens of thousands every people took to the streets to celebrate with one another. and as we mentioned earlier, in chantee's report, some people did get out of control. but the vast cents majority of people just having great time and just wanting to be a part

of that at moss cents fear with the other in the city waiting so long for this historic super bowl win. some people just couldn't wait until this morning to get their hands on some super bowl championship merchandise. this is video from the dick's sporting goods, in plymouth meeting where people were snatching up hats and t-shirts and all kinds of things last night right after the win. very prepared for. that will now back over here, at modell's, we did talk to a customer, very early birds customer he's about his excitement and who he was buying all of this stuff for. take a listen i am i had confidence in them, i thought it was a great team. they deserved t it was cents a great game. like two heavyweights going tow to tow and the whole time the eagles were ahead. amazing. >> reporter: so all of the models in our area opened up at 5:00 a.m. if you don't live near downtown, go ahead go, to your

nearest location, they're open and ready for you, to snatch up all of this super bowl championship merchandise. i'm trang do, cbs 3, " eyewitness news," back to you >> thank, trang you. i have a feeling modell's will be very bus. >> i i think for several daisy think. fans celebrating great game by the eagles who beat patriots in a battle for the ages. >> both teams came out firing and kept it up the whole game. both teams traded fields goals in their first series, and then the eagles started looking down the field. nick foles, receiver alshon jeffrey therefore his first of three touchdown passes cents on the day. after the patriots missed field goal, the birds struck again. this time, legarrett blount barrelled into the end zone from 21 yards away to make the score 15-three, eagles. the patriots made it 15-12 on 25-yard run by james white. and at this point it is really shaping up to be super bowl to remember. birds make it 22-12 at the half on the play of the game. when tight-end tray burton hit quarterback nick foles with a

touchdown. that sends everybody going crazy. the patriots came back in the second half. even taking one point lead. but the birds would not give up. saning sake earth makes a diving touchdown to put the eagles back in the lead. and the eagles defense, got to tom brady. beat the patriots to win the birds first over soup. >> nfl commissioner rogers goodel presented the super bowl trophy to eagles owner jeffrey lurie, the first ever vince lombardi trophy, last time they won the championship was in 1960 before the the siber a, a moment that fans and players will remember forever. >> and i want to tell you something. i got the best players in the world. and it is a resilient group. i love this coaching staff. mr. lurie, the owner, and not only do we have the best fans in the world, we now have the best team in the world. thank you guys. >> this team is amazing. i mean, each and every day we go out there, we love to

>> touchdown by nick foles. >> well of course it is one of the most talk about moments from last night's game. the eagles else pulled off trick play with quarterback nick foles catching a touchdown pass, coach doug pederson was like a mad scientist. no one saw that one coming. >> because i had to play hard for this one. but you know i'm just happy, because we are world champs. and we work our butt off. and everybody that doubted us, we are world champs, baby, that's all i got to say. >> that of course was brandon braham no forced tom brady sack, one of the key plays that landed the first super bowl victory the loss broke the hearts every patriots fans all over the count country. >> the hail mary at the end of the game. but paths walked off the fields in a pretty unfamiliar position, on the losing ends, yes, tom brady and bill check, after the game, both paid tribute to the victors. >> the eagles played great.

beer, insurance companies. >> turns out they were all ads for the laundry detergent. advertising aid says according to marketing company as the thirds quarter tide was tweeted more than any super bowl ad that wasn't a movie trailer. >> and if it was a rap battle you were looking for look no further than peter and morgan freeman to join super bowl ad promoting dorito's and mountain dew. >> critics say, there were a few fumbles. including a ram truck ad using a speech by martin luther king , jr., some concern using the icon's inspiring words, to spell trucks crossed the line with tweet like: not sure mlk 's dream was to drive a dodge ram. ram truck defended the ad last night releasing a statement on twitter writing in part: ram work closely with the estate of martin luther king, jr. to celebrate the words during the largest tv viewing event annually. hena doba, for cbs-3, "

region as is a whole, it basically stays that way, since we had the storm that moved through yesterday, brought primarily rain also some snow obviously now the eye g left over behind it, now the cold coming up in the wake of all of this. so stuck in the 30's at best throughout the day. at least it is brightening up. and with all of that sunshine of course a lot of good vibes from the huge win yesterday. meisha this. >> everyone going to work today is going to be indeed the best mood. the question is when are they going to get to work. >> depending how late they were up last night. because of all of the partying last night i can tell you right now if you're traveling around center city you definitely have to give yourselves extra time. you can see from the video some captured by our photographer here, downed lights, downed polls, the lights are really what are going to cause the most problems. because most of them have been upward completely taken out, so you come to up four way for example and there are no lights there. when more and more vehicles hit the roadways we are going to start to get some long lines around center city. so give yourselves extra time. it will cause real problems

for you around city hall, broad street, around some of the neighborhood areas. quick peak, beautiful shot here of the schuylkill near spring garden, absolutely gorgeous skyline shot. sky looks great. starting to get some volume issues here, see brake lights going off as you push into center city. so certainly again, you're going to have to give yourselves specially traveling in the eastbound direction, right into center city. traveling in the westbound direction, starting to heat up as well. but overall still looking good westbound. eastbound side going into the city but man, mighty, is that shot gorgeous. now we did have a disabling vehicle here on the vine westbound at broad street. that's now since been moved out of the way, jim, back over to you. >> thank you, meisha. eagles now super bowl champs and the fans going insane. >> some fans however did take thinks zero things little too far. chantee lans live in sent earth sit way look now at s damage left behind. chantee?

>> reporter: rahel, jim, yes, some of the damage left behind is literally behind me at this macy's, this is on the corner of juniper and market streets on the east side of city hall the wall or window front now boarded up, you can actually still see shattered glass on the sidewalk. policecthis section. now, we want to show you some video of a polk torn down. now it, shows later on the aftermath, lot of polls were down in this area. so it will be a major problem through center city as rush hour get underway. i want to show you some other video, this is actually at 17th and chestnut. an old navy store was actually had its windows bashed in, some other stores, as well. now, video also shows a collapse posted on social media. also important to note that we are also showing the aftermath. back out live here, outside of

birds are coming hupperterz here and snatching up a all kind of merchandise, believing with bags upon bags and seeing another gentleman go in right now. but these are just fraction of the fans who were out celebrating last night, take a look at this incredible video from chopper three. this is over center sit. particularly around broad street, and city hall, where tens of thousands of fans were gathered last night to really take in this very historic moment, this historic super bowl win for our eagles. now, things got a little out of hand for some fans, but for the most part, people were very respectful and just really enjoying the moment. but over in mayfair, take a look at this video, another iconic spot, where philadelphians gather after some major wins for our sporting team. this was a very jovial family friendly atmosphere, in mayfair. and take a look at this, gina tells us just how much this win means to her. >> my sign is the underdog. we waited since 13 years to
