"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo joins us now, at philadelphia police headquarters, with more on that abduction. jan, good morning. >> reporter: erika, ukee, good morning. a full investigation is now underway, into the kidnapping of this 22 year old woman, police say, they've gotten tips about this case, but so far, nothing has pants out. now, that is why they're offering this reward. and, as they continue to search, this victim's family is making a plea to her captor. >> just let my daughter go. whatever it takes, i don't care, just let her go. >> and bring her back safely, that's all, we just want her to come back safely. >> reporter: desperate plea from the family of carlesha freeland-gaither, why someone would take her. >> why her? and who can do such a thing? >> reporter: the 22 year old last seen just before 10:00 o'clock sunday night here on the 100 block of west colter street in germantown.

her kidnapping, every frightening moment of it, was caught on camera. her attacker parks his car, gets out, and goes back to grab freeland-gaither. she fights the entire time. eventually she's thrown in the back of the car. she did all she could do get away. police say she even kick out both rear windows before the vehicle sped away. >> it was sickening, that's the only thing you can say. >> an eyewitness who didn't want to appear on camera tells "eyewitness news" he was across the street when he heard freeland-gaither's screams for help. >> help me, help me, like, get him off of me, but i couldn't really do too much. >> reporter: he called 9911 saying her abductor had a large knife. police recovered friedlander gator's glasses and cell phone, and had this video, but need more help. now offering a $10,000 reward. >> we're going to pray for her to get the will, the strength, and the courage, to fight her way out. >> reporter: and it is obvious in that video that she is indeed a fighter.

unfortunately, there is no good description of this suspect, police say, he's five-ten, between 25 and 30 years old, he could be traveling in a 2002-2,000 dark great metallic ford tourist. again, back windows smashed out. reporting live outside of police headquarters, jan carabeo, "eyewitness news". >> than you. investigators are looking into the motive behind an apparent murder suicide outside a chester county ymca. later on today, we're expected to learn the identities of both the victim and her killer. police tell "eyewitness news", a woman was walking through this parking lot when she was ambushed by a man with a gun. afterward, he took his own life. dozen of children and their parents were nearby when it happened. after the first shots, many of them took cover inside. >> kept all families back, in the corner, away from all of the windows towards the door. >> very clear that the individual who did this, the male, had planned what he was going to do. >> reporter: now we do know the victim was a mother of

two, had been working there at the y as a fitness instructor. no one else was hurt. >> also, police are still looking for a gunman after a shooting near delaware state university in dover. chopper three over the scene here, at the residence hall about a half mile north of the main campus. we're told the victim was a male student, and he is expected to survive. the university was placed on lock-down for several hours, as police cleared the nearby street. >> right now, 6:03. we want to head outside to the skydeck. how is it feeling? >> not too bad. still warrant, you know there is casino of chill still warrant a jacket for sure. but i can tell this much, not as cold as it has been in recent mornings, even yesterday, was little bit of easing up on the thermometer, actually warmer than that even this morning. let's look at storm scan3, where we start things off here. where you can see, not just thin vale of clouds, but also, few little speckles evergreen. do not worry about wet weather a loft times, the radar can pick up on things, other than precipitation, even though the system being pick up in the

governor criss-crossing the state at a frenzy pace, rallying their supporters, bows ending their day in the western part of the state in rallies in pittsburgh. >> i believe tomorrow night when you guys come around, when ever the final totals come in, that i'm going to be the victor, and we'll have a second term. >> i'm not cocky, getting complacent, i'm working real hard. i'll be working all the through the election tomorrow. >> in the final hours, before election day, governor tom corbett made a stop in west chester, pennsylvania, reminding voters why he deserves four more years in office. portraying his democratic challenger tom wolf as candidate, set on raising taxes on the middle class. >> can be sum up in one word: taxes. >> but wolf is quick to fire back, from this rally in lancaster, monday afternoon, attacking corbett on cuts to education, and a lack of job creation, throughout the state. >> this is about education, it is about jobs, it is about fairness. >> the candidate wrapped up their campaign, having started on one side of the state, and ended on another. hundreds every miles traveled.

"eyewitness news" reporter, jan carabeo, joins us now at police headquarters with the latest information. jan, good morning. >> reporter: erika, good morning, an all out search for this missing 22 year old woman, who police say was kidnapped, on sunday night, now police tell us they have received tips in this case, but so far, none of those tips have panned out. so they're now offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of the abductor in in case. if you take a look at the video, you can see all of this happened each frightening step was caught on surveillance video. police say carlesha gate

freeland-gaither last seen walking around 10:00 sunday night, that's when a man grabs her, drags her, kicking and screaming, and forces her into a dark colored car. now, police say, an eyewitness was walking on the other side of the street, as all of this was happening, he says, he heard freeland-gaither scream for help and called 911 after in the g the abductor had a large knife. police say freeland-gaither fought her attacker the entire time kicking out both rear windows before the car drove off. as police continued to is her this much morning, freeland-gaither's family pleading for her safe return. >> just let my daughter go, whatever it takes, i don't care, just let her go. >> yes, and bring her back safely, that's all, we just want her to come back safely. basically all we want is her, that's all we want. >> unfortunately, police don't have a good description of the suspect. they say he is 5 feet 10 inches tall between 25 and 30 years old, they say, he may

and right now traffic wise 95 is not looking great. you are delayed in the southbound direction, out of the northeast, making your way down toward the vine st. expressway. this would be your southbound delay around the area of girard avenue. heaviest pockets around cottman, and girard, and you know that's because of construction. northbound 95, not awful just yet. not even delaware county. still moving well. this is 476, not too far away from the schuylkill expressway. actually right above t traveling on 476, moving well overall around the schuylkill, the toll plaid i, around 95, speed censors looking pretty good on 476. cannot say the same for 95 and the schuylkill. so traveling 76 westbound, expect delays approaching the boulevard, then making your way out toward gladwynn. if you are headed eastbound also seeing some slowing around belmont, no delays for mass transit, and things at the airport look pretty good. ukee? >> the polls are already open in new jersey and in just about a half hour voters in pennsylvania will have their say. big race of course for governor. republican incumbent tom corbett reminded voters why he

following midterm election, in the third year of a given term of a presidency. how about that for precision? given that a lot of folks are predicting the republican party could take the senate, here is some more good news for the bold. net davis research found from 1961 to 22010. -- 2010, the combination of democratic president and democratic congress has produced the best historical returns for the s&p 500. and average of over 21%. so, compare that with 12.1%, that's when the white house and congress are controlled by the same party, when either party is in the white house, and split congress, returns are averaging 7.1%, the worse combo, a republican president, and a democratic congress, just four and a half% return. >> all right, jill, what about any legislation? expect any big changes? >> reporter: well, you know that political gridlock is basically stopped the clock on any major legislation. but, you know, we think about it, over the past few years, the periodic threat of default
