11:20 pm
degree. some areas will come down a degree. i think the coastal sections will feel more cooling with the patchy coastal fog that's trying to reform out there now. and that will continue to form the fog and kind of expand on itself. so as time we get to friday, saturday, sunday, there'll be a bunch of fog and that's going to keep that coastal edge really cool. that's what high pressure does. it also keeps us dry and warm and that's where we are dry and warm right through this week. next week there is a chance for a little something. maybe we'll show it here on the computer model. this is the weather system we're tracking. it's a big one. look at all the i mean, that's that's a couple thousand miles of atmospheric moisture originating from the tropics. but this big high pressure sits here. you can see that that clear area, that's the air sinking. so everything's going up and over and even the clouds, some of the clouds are going up and over, and those clouds are going to be present the next few days, as the model will indicate. so here we are tomorrow morning. those clouds tomorrow afternoon, those clouds. and again, these clouds are high. clouds are not low based stuff. so they're not it's
11:21 pm
not rain clouds. it's there could be a little drizzle on the coast on the weekend. but i think for the most part it's just high clouds, pretty sunsets kind of stuff. 8 a.m. you see, the fog on friday morning is pretty consistent, right along the coast. fog hangs out 9:00 on friday night, and then saturday morning. more fog, more clouds, more of the same. this pattern is a little bit the same each day as we go through the weekend. so it's not bad. and then wednesday there's a chance for a few showers. that weather system to the north wants to drop down. we'll see if that transpires. it's got a long way to go, but in the meantime, enjoy, enjoy enjoy. tree pollens are trending high because that's what they do this time of year. grasses and weeds are behind by another week or two, but maybe in your neighborhood. depends where you live with coast or inland. there's a five day forecast. i'll see you back here tomorrow night. >> all right. thanks so much, bill. appreciate it. new tonight san francisco police holding a sting operation in the west portal neighborhood where a driver struck and killed a family of four just over a month ago. ktvu's amber lee was there as officers carried out this

here today was really being mindful of what happened here over a month ago, assistant police chief david lazard worked as a decoy. >> he says this is only one of many locations throughout the city where the police plan to hold these operations. during the 90 minute long operation, seven motorcycle officers pulled over numerous drivers for failing to yield to pedestrian as they issued 22 citations and five warnings. >> there is a person in the crosswalk. there crossing. the crossing? yeah, it was crossing the crosswalk and you came right through. >> police say the number of citations issued was dramatically lower last year compared to ten years ago, in part due to the shortage of officers. this targeted enforcement is designed to be educational and sends a message we have not given up on traffic enforcement, which is evident in what happened here today. we spotted one driver who failed to yield to not one, but two pedestrians. the driver tells me
11:24 pm
he was given one citation, which costs $230. >> the rest of the story is be aware and don't be careless. >> amber lee, ktvu, fox two news a san francisco restaurant atop the hyatt regency, bringing back a special feature 17 years later. >> the new details after the break. >> and don't forget that you can tune in to watch our show, like it or not, on fox local, we stream the fun conversation amongst us ktvu personalities every weekend from 10 to 11 a.m. and from 3 to 4 in the afternoon
