, alerting other fire victims about an urgent deadline to file a claim. the tubbs the group of survivors say more than half of all the fire victims still have not filed a claim. and the deadline is 5 pm, october 21. the people eligible to file include those who lost property, income or suffered emotional distress. the group says victims do not need to hire a lawyer or even know the monetary value of their claim for them to file a claiower outage is not lost on the survivors of the tubbs fire. it was two years ago that flames swept through the coffey park neighborhood. 44 people died in the tubbs fire . half lived in sonoma county. nine were in the city of santa rosa. the luther burbank center for the arts was partially burned during the firestorm. it is now the location of a permanent memorial.

a manhattan businessman and his wife are heading to prison for their role in the college admission scandal. greg and marcy are avid sentenced to one month in prison. they paid $125,000 to get their daughters scores improved to get her into duke university. the money they used came from their family's charitable organization. they are among 52 people charged in that college admission scandal . teachers in pittsburg will be rallying at tonight's school board meeting demanding the district center contract negotiations . the teachers are looking for an agreement that will provide safe learning conditions, student resources and help the district recruit and retain quality teachers. the rally begins at 5 pm outside the pittsburg unified school district on railroad avenue . the san francisco board of supervisors making it easier now for people with electric cars to drive wi

the tunnel may close, the latest word is it will not close. those tunnels will not close because caltrain made an arrangement with pg&e to keep the power on. slow traffic on the altamont pass. traffic here will be slow on 580 and 205 which is not unusual for this time of morning. traffic will continue to be slow to the livermore area. it is better to get dublin and hayward. no problems to san leandro according to the road sensors and you can see that interstate 880 traffic looks pretty nice in front of the oakland coliseum. there is a slight slowdown at looking good. 4:50 am. i think you know today's weather. it will be clear and windy with wind advisory starting in about an hour from now. the first one is for the nathan east bay hills above 1000 feet.
