9:16 am
morning, everyone. that's right. we've been seeing major delays over in the east bay. it's near san lorenzo area. take a look. it's right at the connector of 8.80, southbound. if you're heading on to it from 2.38 northbound, you can see on-ramp to merge on 2.88 e completely closed. it's been like that for hours. we have a live look right now from our photographer. that's there on the scene. we can try to zoom out a little bit. essentially. it's a big rig that is on its side. it's been like that since about 2 or 3 o'clock this morning. officials say that the driver fell asleep at the wheel so turned the big rate onto its side this morning. they're now trying to not only get the big rig back on its right side, but also clean up all of the oils everything else that's coming out of it. in addition to that, we also have a crash office a way of this on southbound to. 38 officials are trying to clear that up that you're going to see some of those delays either way. i'm in the castro valley area and they're also seeing some residual delays because there was another crash on those northbound lanes going over towards 80. taking a look at the 5.80, area near livermore

9:18 am
little longer than you'd like on the east bay shoreline. >> where we are seeing skies nice and clear and sunny up about heading into the inland east bay today. and you're about to be looking at temperatures in 80's for spots like antioch, a warm and sunny day. absolutely love what i'm seeing there now. step out of the way of what it can hiding for saturday, which is something maybe at this point a lot of us are like really again. but great to see the moisture. it just falls during the weekend. the timing of it, maybe not ideal. so from today's 80's in antioch to just 50's and that same exact location come saturday was showers through the day. so they'll be planning a lot on your saturday. skies are going to stay clear for most of the bay area. sure, right along the coastline, high pressure ridge, ensuring that we have another warm and dry day before tomorrow we start or cool down that low really dives deep on in and saturday, especially is going to be the coolest, the wettest one of the forecast. let's time it out. hour by hour skies. clear today. nice and warm tomorrow. deep in marine layer, cooler
9:19 am
temperatures. lot of cloud cover overhead too friday just kind of feels like earlier in the season. again, come tomorrow night after 10:00pm. we'll start to see some showers. heaviest of rainfall moves in after midnight on friday night into saturday morning. and with it some colder air that results in yet again, some more snow on our bay area. mountaintops. we'll get a brief breather from the rain as you're getting up on saturday morning. capitalize on that walk the dog before a chance of heavy rainfall towards the middle of the day and into the afternoon could come along with some thunderstorm development as well towards the latter half of your saturday. you add all this up and we could see anywhere between a half to even an inch of rainfall. just pretty much on saturday alone. aside from that, though, today's forecast is absolutely gorgeous. specially if you like that, sunny, warm weather. if you love just or day today is basically a repeat of it. so go ahead. get out there before we cool down starting tomorrow. 70's along the bay shore today, 80's for the south bay yet again and a

year-over-year basis. that's up only 2.1% that perfect. so we're seeing some bumps in inflation on the consumer side, eye towards oil and shelter, not really tied towards much else. the s p pullback is about 2 and a half percent from its all-time high. that's not bad. okay. it's usually much worse and that could be 10%. i think the markets are handling everything as if we're going to get a rate cut later this year. okay. even 2 of them. so i like where we are with a good economy and jobs. wish there was more rate cuts because that does hurt the credit cards and mortgages. >> well, we'll see. we'll see what comes down the i'm a big fan of comic con what system seeing about a basically something like that. but for sports, you hear about that. >> yeah, brady hoke, jeter, eli, peyton are just some of the names who kind of realize that they sell trading cards. addicts, they're tied towards sports, betting apps that online shopping of like jersey signed jerseys. they're going to do what's called a sports

9:31 am
another accident that's happening on southbound 2.38. so that's causing delays. but the original problem. take a look. this is a photo of the officials have put out. you can see it's a big rig turned over on its side. those tires completely really destroyed from that turn in the reason is that the driver fell asleep at the wheel. so you can see they've been trying to clear up not only the oils and gasoline coming out of it, but really to get back on its right side. we have a live look of the scene right now. those lanes 80 southbound completely closed off. you see everybody merging over towards the left of it. chp on the scene telling us they do not have an eta of when things will be back open. they say this could actually be an all-day process. so keep that in mind as you're heading out, we're going go back to our traffic maps now. so you can go ahead and take a look just to see exactly what the residual delays could be. if you're heading in from the inland area, you see right now, 5.80, over near the dublin pleasanton area a little bit congested not too bad, but still keep all that in mind. as you're heading out
