9:21 am
>> yeah, indiana state. i would never think about going 2 for tourism is going to pull in 500,000 to rest. the solar eclipse of my heart. nope. it's moving from the sun for a few moments april 8th affecting 13 states sliver landed 13 states. they're going to do quite well. 4 million people are going to travel for the eclipse zone of totality. that sounds great. the average person will spend 400 to $500 in their travels. hotels are booked in dallas, indianapolis, cleveland, rochester, restaurant, a couple in an extra 685 million dollars retailers about 1.1 billion dollars rentals and hotels a place to stay 810 million. think about this team's you are spending 685 million, not unique, but collective right at a restaurant that the restaurant workers are making more money. so if you add it all up, we're going to spend about 1.0, 6, 2 billion on this eclipse. but when you start adding into the
9:22 am
employees of service companies, they're making more money, they'll spend more money. it's a 6 billion dollar total eclipse. and that's pretty cool for the economy. that is incredible. absolutely. and then last it's taylor swift asked. >> right? not that big, but it's close. lastly, i had some friends going to godzilla versus kong over the weekend. they were kind of mixed on it. was the best thing in the world. but i guess it came out big over the weekend box office. did you see it? >> i did take it off. he want to see movies with nice. 13 years on. he's got 4 friends. they spent the money 80 million dollars. second biggest opening of the year behind doing too. so you can see another godzilla kong movie and i saw the last ice on road. those are fun for me. i'm not too much thinking just a lot of special effects that are really, really top notch. yeah, i i haven't seen it yet. i think i want to, but i want to see ghostbusters first. >> i think it's already in the second or 3rd weekend anyway that is that came i know. i

the time. and in the north bay, you can expect some traffic delays through april. we have parts of highway 37 set to be closed between solano and sonoma counties during the weekends in april and even into parts of may. so starting april, 12th caltrans is going to be working on one traffic direction per weekend. they're going webnd lanes
9:26 am
c osed and traffic diverted on the weekend of the april 12th and the 19th and then eastbound lanes are going to be closed with traffic diverted the weekend of april. 26th and may 3rd. >> another setback for storm. better section of highway one. look at this. this is a new landslide that just happened over the weekend. closing a historic portion of the roadway between big sur and carmel by the sea. and there were a lot of tourists and people stranded because of this mile and a half that crumbled southbound lane you can see just washed away on saturday. so today they're going to actually in one direction part. i'm going to be ushering out these cars, guiding them out. i think starting at noon today. but can you imagine that a lot of people had to spend the night in their cars are in hotels or whatever, because they just couldn't get by this area. so what they're going to be doing is and this is the area that was still recovering, by the way, from landslides. it happened last winter. so they're going to be doing is ushering the cars. and then of
9:27 am
course, all this work to be done. so that is going to be an inconvenience for months to come 9.26. right now. and coming up next, aggravated assaults are happening. more and more across the state. >> we're going to take a look at what's happening in the bay area. u.s..
