. a complicated love of web, jealousy and rage. we are learning more about the reasons police say one man gone on a murder spree. efren valdermoro is connected to the death of his girlfriend, two friends and one of her house mates. we have team coverage tonight, including a new report that involved the beating. kron 4's reggie begins our top story coverage at 11:00. >> reporter: we obtained this

police report. it reveals detailed information about a fight that broke out between efren valdermoro, ricardo and hisson. his girlfriend called the police and met the officer outside. she said her ex-boyfriend and her two room meats were fighting in her room. the officers state when he walked into the room -- naked, frederick had a hold of his right arm and head. the officer asked the three men to stop fighting. investigators believe he was the victim. you can see in these photos, he suffered a black eye. he said they attacked him.

he wrote he was a liar and back stabber. but he told the officer he attacked him and his son first. 6 days later he was found beaten to death. this neighbor can't believe it happened. >> never heard any fightings there. >> reporter: there is still no sign of his son. on wednesday investigators searched a business park hoping to find more clues. reggie, kron 4 news. >> late word tonight, the police department contacted various agencies asking for assistance with the search. that search could be tide the only person know to be missing. new details about the

relationship between efren valdermoro and his girlfriend, cindy tran. tranmay have warned police her life was in danger. >> reporter: efren valdermoro's girlfriend, cindy tranfeared for her life, convinced he was going to kill her. she had an opportunity to tell police about her fears when she met with investigators hours before she was strangled to death. >> police officers released her that day, she was on her way to work. we had issues we were looking for the suspect at that time. i can't speculate what was during the meetings or how there were concerns for her safety. >> reporter: tranmet with police several times, during

the murder of sals. a warrant was issued for efren valdermoro arrest in that case. the connection was not made that tran's life may be in cage. >> we did not see the concern for tran's safety and unfortunately the suspect was able to locate her and kidnap her. police were working nonstop on this case to locate the suspect and worked with other agencies to locate him. >> this was the scene outside the beauty salon where tranworked, they were all expressing their remorse. a candle light vigil is planned tomorrow at 7:00 p.m., in the parking lot where tranworked. it was a busy day at

another crime scene. investigators were searching for clues inside that home where two women were found dead. kron 4's dan continues our team coverage now. >> reporter: autopsies are underway of these two women. rita and carol. the bodies were discovered tuesday. police say the murder investigation is focusing on two men, one is efren valdermoro who was shot and killed this week and suspected in the murders of cindy tranand her roommate. >> we are trying to find out what charles involvement was. he is still in jail on charges

of possession of explosive chemicals. >> reporter: they discovered these chemicals in the home. chemicals they say are used to make explosives. >> the atf located a container labels uranium, they are not sure what the item is until it's analyzed. >> reporter: where these chemicals came from remain as mystery. a damage suggests he works for good rich propulsion. >> we received information today, after his work place took a look at the items, they do not believe they were from their business. >> who killed the two women? and two, who is responsible for those chemicals found here and

today a city is shutting down its police department because of a budget shortage. the city of san carlos will rely on the sheriffmous department. kron 4's donn reports on how the closure will effect the city's safety. >> reporter: the counsel voted thursday night to oust source police services. the city will shut down its police department and become the first to contract out policedulateys. officials and police officers say people in this city will not notice any changes. they say 911 response times will stay the same. the same officers will continue to patrol. they will turn into deputies. the sheriff's department agreed to absorb all of the officers. officials say they have no

choice but to close the police department. the city is facing a $3.5 million deficit. now officials agreed to outsource the police surfaces. the support of supervisors will also have to vote on this to make it work. the sheriff's department is expected to take over october 31. >> police officers support this move and even though leaders reassured people it will remain a safe city, it is getting mixed reactions from residents. >> i think it's terrible. >> i don't think they will have as many police on the street. i don't think the response time will be what it is. >> i think it's a good thing. the sheriff's department will
