area this morning, preparing for another round of fundraising. now these are live pictures of the fairmont hotel. this is in san francisco. this is where he's staying there are some street closures in and around this area. california street is closed between powell and taylor streets as well as mason street between pine and sacramento. now those closures will last until tonight. so plan ahead well today, president biden will look to raise money at 2 campaign receptions. here in the bay area, he touched down in marina green yesterday evening with 1st lady jill biden flying into sfo about 2 hours earlier. so let's talk about those 2 fundraisers. the president 1st begins with a reception in portola valley at 115. pm it's apparently between 6 and 100,000. >

election, the most important presidential elections since perhaps maybe 24. you know that donald trump and his team were going to raise a lot of money, and in that process you're going to have to have record setting events, so they come in. they drop a lot of dollars. they a drop in very quickly and then try to get out with those checks they want to set records, and that's because what matters in the california 80 m is money. cash dollars. >gianna>well after those receptions. president biden will make his way up north to seattle for another. fundraiser tonight at 7. president biden has traveled to the bay area multiple times over the last year to philip the campaign coffers. all right time now for a look at today's other top stories, it's official oakland international airport is changing its name taking a live look there right now the port of oakland commissioners voted unanimously to rebrand as san francisco bay, oakland. international. airport. but the fight isn't over their countersuing san francisco after they filed a lawsuit against them for the name change. city attorney david chu said it infringes on sfo's

trademark. the airport call letters oh, ak will stay the same. a previous report to pour commissioners estimated that the name change will cost about 150. mainly to update the signage. but that estimate apparently does not include possible legal fees. the san francisco unified school district is facing a budget crunch. the district is projecting a 400. 0 budget deficit within the next year. according to the san francisco examiner. they'll need to lay off more than 300 employees and closed down schools, the district tells us. it's taking steps to remain financially secure for now. now for a look across the bay area this morning as we get ready for the weekend, happy friday. >

on their own, but they are significantly different than where you were yesterday. it's 11 degree drop for half moon bay today you were 77 yesterday and san francisco. you'll be 5 degrees cooler than yesterday's. 81, however, look at the rest of the bay. you actually warmup if you're inland, look at those numbers over there for inland contra costa county. you'll be about 4 or 5 degrees warmer today. look at the numbers down in the tri valley. you're going to be just about 5 degrees warmer than you were yesterday. look at the santa clara valley. those numbers are going to be about 2 degrees or so warm. it will put some actual daytime highs on this and you can see that means you're pretty much going right back up to 90s again for daytime high, so that's where things stand in terms of the temperatures for today, let's take a look at the 7 day forecast. get an idea of what happens next. and if we know that today it's just a little warmer than yesterday for our inland microclimates. you've got that 90 over here. saturday is not all that different. but then you will cool down by the time we get into early next week, temperatures will have come back >gianna>down. all right,

restructure residential utility bills for many pg and e customers. it would be a fixed charge of about 24 days. but for low income households. will pay either $12. or $6. people are already paying these fees to some extent. but it was charged based on kilowatt use. >placed dead says for people with smaller spaces who aren't low income like him. they'll will likely end up paying more for the fixed rate because they don't use as many kilowatts. it's the big energy users who will benefit most. >

holding a day of ceremonies at the pioneer amphitheater. the 1st ceremony has already begun. so congrats to them with another 1 p.m.. pm, followed by the last 1, and that's happening at 5. so if you are going, you also might get to see betty reid soskin, the oldest active national park. major received her honorary doctor of humane letters. it's a degree awarded to those who have established themselves through humanitarian and philanthropic works. so if you are headed out there and you're going to go cheer on some of those graduates going to zoom in here and kind of let you know you might see some busy conditions and expect delays on mission boulevard carlos people of ard as well as harder boulevard in and around the hayward area. well this afternoon oakland residents will turn out and up for the 9th annual 510. day. 510 day at lake merritt. it all kicks off with the car show at 1:00 pm this is a gratz. grassroots event run by the community that celebrates the city's history and cultures in the face of gentrification. it's going to feature several live music stages, rallies and the

marketplace. the event runs until 10:00 tonight. also happening in the town, oakland museum of california's latest friday night event brings the east bay live music by the fantastic negredo tonight's event will also feature katie, the poet groovy arrow beats dj. manage draper all encompassing late night art exhibitions. it's all part of a series of the center's new events and public programs during the month of may should be a lot of fun and come hungry because some of the food off the grid will be there with the food trucks and all of that fun to feed you. oh, well tonight you also have the chance to see san francisco come alive with not 1. but to night markets celebrating different cultures within the a p. i community. so you've got stuff happening in oakland, you've also got stuff happening across the bay in san francisco as well in the popularity of chinatown market this year. now bhangra and beats is back celebrating south asian culture with local vendors, food and dance. so we're going to check in with

change. not only that you're actually going to warm up. concord, eniac. livermore fremont, even redwood city, you guys actually see your numbers climb a few degrees today as a result of still being under the influence of the center of high pressure overhead. so you're numbers are still in the upper 80s. there is some help coming, though, and we'll see that as we get into the 7 day forecast by sunday. the numbers that are inland are going to start coming back down. yeah. even along the coast. everybody is going to get a noticeable cool down over the next few days, so let's put it into a 7 day forecast. and will come away with a perspective on the change. you need to wait for sunday. if you're inland and you want to see the numbers really become noticeably cooler because for the next few days, you're pretty much right in the same spot. but by sunday, you're down to the low 80s by monday and tuesday, your numbers are back. to pretty much average. we may warm up a little bit by the middle of next week, so that's a look at the inland microclimate. let's switch it's out now and we'll
