days. even as we transition into friday, we still have to call it a chance of a few scattered showers left over, but the obvious takeaway, thursday would be the more impressive day for rain when we'll get the widespread steady leading edge of the system. friday will be the stragglers, leftover scattered showers and, yes, you know this drill by now, maybe some isolated thunderstorms on friday. it's been such an active winter for storms with the potential to do that and this one looks just like them. so another chance for isolated thunderstorms on friday. if you look at the totals, now they range from 0.8-inch of rain in the north bay to maybe 0.3-inch of rain in the south bay. all this stuff gets a lot more detailed and refined over the next 24 to 36 hours once we start putting the high resolution imagery on here. this looks pretty assured at this point the system comes through with this timing. look at the snow in the sierra for anybody who might be traveling again thursday and friday, both
