remain, say that they will likely be her until nightfall. in the santa cruz mountains, kpix5. >> officials have identified a woman killed in front of tya unschool by a hit run strucker just after 11 am this morning. this is on 22nd avenue in front of garfield elementary. she died of her injuries. a four-year-old girl was taken to the hospital, she is in stable condition tonight. neighbors say the streets around the school are just not safe. >> everyday is like i don't understand it. there are cars going 100 miles. they don't have absolutely nobody over here to supervise these children's. i saw the baby on the side of her. it is gut wrenching. someing needs to be done. and another deadly hit-and- run. this is one is in

cupertino's rk.pa two people were struck after a driver sped through the park. one of the victims that it the hospital, the others in stable condition tonight. police were able to capture the suspect, who is under arrest under suspicion of murder. in the north may tonight, there is a new plan to help people escape wildfires. the city of santa rosa is really now a new toolkit. this includes evacuation maps that identify all the recommended routes to get out safely. the fire department says this is all part of a comprehensive evacuation program, which includes a new network of early detection cameras. >> today we have much earlier detection. we have the ability to alert residents much quicker than we could have. >> and the city has also installed a very distinctive high siren that will only be used in the event of an emergency. solving the areas transit

but it is absolutely prudent for the city to preserve their rights. i hope we can place that and really focus on working together. >> reporter: a judge narrowed the temporary restraining order to say that alameda county and the oakland a's cannot enter into a contract until the matter is resolved, but they can negotiate. >> it is so easy to put the lawsuit on pause while we try to resolve things diplomatically. >> reporter: there are a lot of people caught off guard. the lease president, was talking about this very subject. he did t this no tha'eyg. ll will alameda county, the city of oakland for another hearing. live at the coliseum, kpix5.

here's what you missed if you're just getting him. the sentencing resumes for the dallas police officer who has just been convicted with murder. she was charged with shooting and killing an unarmed neighbor, that she claims that she mistook his apartment for her on. she thought that he was an intruder. his mily cheered as the verdict was read. she could face up to 99 years in prison. today a federal judge in boston ruled that the ivy league university does not intentionally discriminate. this focused on the subjective rating system. said that they receive lower ratings. this happen in taiwan. three fishing boats were crushed. an oil tanker, also. on top of the people missing,
