9:13 pm
many of us know the warmest was in santa rosa at 80 degrees. the average this time of the year, 59. so most of the bay area, some 15 to 20 degrees above where we should be. every single one of these temperatures, a brand new record here throughout the bay, even downtown san francisco getting up to 74. high pressure is producing the heat. and i do not see a big change in this over the next seven days. it's basically going to sit in the same spot, pulling up the warm air from the south and keeping the rainfall up to the north. we're going to have more on that rain forecast coming up in a minute and a half, but you can get a preview in the scrolling seven-day forecast at the bottom of the screen. we'll take you to tomorrow morning back to school and back to work, we'll start out cold in the tri-valley at 47. the peninsula at 51. chilly in the north bay, areas of fog and 49. and partly cloudy in san francisco at 51. we start cool to cold. and by the afternoon, another mild someday in the south bay.
9:14 pm
every single city again in the 70s with records possible, 76 in downtown san jose. 75 in pleasanton. 72 in oakland. we need the rainfall, but you can't argue with the fact that it is going to be beautiful out here no matter where you are head in the bay. a little bit of a change tomorrow would be at the coastline, slight coastal breeze to drop us down to 69 at half-moon bay. san francisco will also cool just a couple degrees with a westerly cooler wind at 9 miles per hour. that brings the marina down to 69 in the mission at 71. the warmest weather here in the north bay from santa rosa to napa with temperatures in the upper 70s. my extended forecast in san francisco has cooler weather over the next seven days but still mild. we'll stay dry with temperatures dropping into the 60s from tuesday into sunday. for the inland valleys, we're staying in the 70s throughout the duration of the next seven days. and we may actually stay dry right now into about february the 17th. beyond that, we could get some wet weather moving in.
