at 6:44, a couple of breaking news stories. some of the streets and santa clara and second street were closed for an investigation, gun shots were heard just before midnight. they say two men got into a fight. both pulled out guns and shot at each other. one man shot later died at the hospital. police are still looking for the gunman at this hour. >> also, a pair of deadly crashes involving pedestrians.

the showers are mostly in sonoma county. starting to get a little more activity in moran and now we're hitting that extends from the hawaiian islands all the way to california. typically when we hit that tap, we get higher rainfall totals in the south bay than in the north bay. you can see that's going to be the case. you're talking about line rainfall in santa rosa. mean while heavy at 2:00. we start to get some heavy downpours at that point here in the south bay. continues about 6:00 and 8:00, the heavy stuff presses out of here. it going to be we'll see a few more showers tomorrow morning

there, drinking something warm hopefully because ne just wanted to get a great spot. the city is no stranger to parades, we've done this back in 2010 and just two years ago in 2012. >> parking could be kind of challenging. instead why not just stake out a spot on the parade route. kind of like nanette miranda who joins us near at that time at that time park, where the floats are waiting to hit the streets. good morning. >> reporter: good morning, sam and laura. i am at at&t park where the floats are getting ready to head down to market street at about 11:30. so there's some hustle and bustle going on here in the parking lot. i am standing at or on the home run parade float and you know the giants needed a few of those home runs to get to win the world series. i'm told this is the last float built. yesterday morning, 24 lours ago there was nothing on this flat bed. but it's unbelievable, the magic that these workers are able to pull together. in case you're wondering why or

how these guys were able to get the floats together, they actually got the call from the giants about a week ago and workers started just sort of putting stuff together slowly but surely and then monday things got really serious and they started working 12-to-15 hour days. so they started putting the floats together even before anyone knew the giants would win the world series. >> we built this, started about two days before it really got serious in the championships. and it was like the stock markets. if they won, we worked like crazy. if they lost, we kind of slowed down. nothing was harder to build than a don't stop believing float when somebody's losing on you. >> i did see the don't stop believing floats around the corner here not too far away. of course that's name after the journey song that's sort of been
