weather coming up in just about seven minutes. thank you drew new development this morning silicon valley bank has a new owner and a new name north carolina-based first citizen has purchased the bank and customer should notice that change when branches open in just a few hours abc 7 news reporter, gloria rodriguez live in santa clara with what this change will mean for customers, gloria. good morning, kumasi the saying that today the 17 former branches of silicon valley bank will open up as a first citizens bank. so any customers of silicon valley bank will now become customers of first citizen now this news was announced overnight raleigh-based first citizens bank purchasing silicon valley bank, which failed on march 10th this after depositors rushed to withdraw money amid fears about the bank's health. it was the second largest bank collapse in us history the fdic saying that the sale involves a

from us that will escape the strongest winds with this dorm system. it won't be like last tuesday where this area of low pressure slams right into us and strengthens overhead. it will strengthen well offshore, but as it does the winds will pick up here tomorrow along with some heavy rain on the exclusive abc 7 storm impact scale the level two a moderate storm. we have here tomorrow. the heaviest rain will fall in the morning. we'll have winds picking up once again. so we'll likely see some trees coming down and it's a cold storm meaning on our hills. we'll see a dusting of snow and even the chance for some thunder a wind advisory will go into effect for a big portion of the region some of our highest elevations where winds could gust up the 55 miles per hour tomorrow. here's future weather. day, it's quiet. we'll find increasing clouds this afternoon temperatures will max out in the low 60s and our warmest spots and then late tonight and then tomorrow morning here comes that storm bringing rain that is set to make a bit of a mess for the tuesday morning commute. but today we are dry with increasing clouds and temperatures in the 50s and 60s.

clouds. the clouds will be thickening throughout the day ahead of our storm system that really impacts us tomorrow morning temperatures t mid0s lower 60sor afternoo hig and then tonight after midnight the rain arrives across the region and the storm gets its act together. it's a level two as we head into tuesday with temperatures staying in the 40s. thing tomorrow morning rainfall estimates. i do want to show you this we'll find that that rain shadow effect is likely going to take hold in parts of the south bay where you can see san jose probably a half of an inch of rain, but the north bay will likely see some heavier rain will exceed an inch of rain in many cities in north bay and along the coast, but when will also be an issue we have a wind advisory in effect tomorrow morning, you can see winds gusting around lunch time highest along the coast will likely see 50 mile per hour winds there around the bay shore line will likely see winds 30 to 45 miles per hour. so we are anticipating trees coming down. once again a winter storm warning is in effect late tonight. we're thinking two to four feet of snow above 4,000 feet on top

swift bands have a big problem with ticketmaster a group filing a lawsuit in court today claiming a conspiracy to jack up prices for swift's era's tour. we are not gonna just settle. we we want to see some change happen. we want to see a difference being made ticketmasters parent company live nation saying earlier this year. we apologize to miss swift we need to do better and we will do better, but that's not all i know when drake band smiling a separate lawsuit against ticketmaster in canada for alleged price fixing there claiming the company knew the canadian artist would perform two concerts in montreal but kept back quiet to boost demand experts. say the underlying problem ticketmasters monopoly on the market controlling 70% of the industry. the monopoly issues have been going on for years and years and years and years pearl jam took them before congress.

that twister barrel through she says she could hear the winds in the background her mother drove to a local store hunkered down inside but never made it out hurt nothing but hurt. because everyone lost something whether it was a loved one. home everyone lost something jessica called davis's mom was driving. this is her car when that tornado whiz through she pulled over here to the parking lot of what used to be this dollar general. she ran inside but sadly never made it out. is really hard. it's just you know nothing to come back to. this morning relief is on the way governor tate reeves touring the disaster zone with federal officials including fema and well, yes, there is promise to rebuild but some enrolling fork struggle to see the potential. i'm looking around town. and i'm saying i know we can rebuild. but what you do with the devastation, what you doing, hopefully.

say rawson young and russo or earlier involved in an altercation and which several shots were fired into the air. no one was injured. police in san jose are looking for the driver of a car that hit and killed a woman on a bicycle last night. the collision happened on blossom hill road near lee avenue just before 7 pm the victim died at the scene. the driver did not stop investigators have not yet released a description of the vehicle. this morning a standoff suspect is in the hospital after being shot by officers near gilroy the standoff started yesterday morning at a home on dryden avenue near bishop court in unincorporated santa clara county santa clara county. sheriff's office says when deputies got there the suspects shot at them but no one was hit then gunfire erupted again last night when the suspect walked out of the house the chronicle reports and officer from a responding agency shot the man. shares deputy was hit by a bullet that ricochet during that gunfire that deputy is expected to be okay. you know, it's very traumatic

event, very large critical incident. i mean heck one one of our deputies was struck by ricochet regardless if it's a ricocheter bullet, i mean, that's a big big situation. sergeant davis is they are still investigating. what caught on the caught on fire near the suspect's house. you can see our cameras showed that smoke in the air of the scene deputy is ron seen overnight to conduct that investigation. many people are worried about more trees coming down during the storm rolling in tonight. this is a tree that fell in january in the santa cruz mountains. pg&e says crews have removed more than 13,000 trees that have damaged infrastructure since the first atmospheric river on new year's eve arborists. tell the chronicle that taller denser trees with denser crowns are more prone to fall warning signs of a collapse include cracks around the root base the tree starting to lean or a new mound of soil. the western tree failure database shows the most common trees to have fallen in the bay

area are oaks eucalyptus cypress and monterey pines. in the north bay, it has been a race against time to reroute a critical gas line around a landslide that is still active highway 101 has reopened between petaluma and novato after cruise completed. the repair work now is the next storm approaches abc 7 news reporter cornell bernard shows us how those already hit by flooding are getting prepared. traffic is moving again on southbound highway 101 a closed portion has reopened after pg&e successfully completed the delicate job of rerouting an underground gas pipeline around this landslide in novato. that's still moving crews had to cut through the frontage road and highway 101 to lay the temporary bypass in the median divide then back across the freeway. the landslide happened during last tuesday's bomb cyclone.

tomorrow. it is a level two moderate storm with rain heaviest in the morning and winds will pick up as well. it does not look like the winds will be as strong as last week that area of low pressure stays a bit farther away from us compared to last week's storm and that means the winds not as severe, but we'll still find winds gusting 45 to 55 miles per hour at times all areas shaded in yellow will go under a wind advisory tomorrow. just know we'll likely find more trees coming down today though future weather. it is a quiet day. we'll find increasing clouds throughout the afternoon temperatures maxing out in the mid-50s to lower 60s and then after midnight tonight and to early tomorrow morning here comes our next storm system that will make a slower than normal commute for your tuesday today. just find that blend of sun and clouds out there temperatures will rebound into the mid 50s and lower 60s later on today. we'll go hour by hour on future weather show you tomorrow storm and so show you those wins as well in about eight minutes. let's check in with sue and see everything with traffic this morning. good morning drew and no weather

delays this morning. we do have a delay for ace train number one out of the central valley it continues to be about 35 minutes delayed due to switching problems in stockton coming into manteca train number three is not delayed this morning. and remember last time we checked in there was an incident right at 24 and 680. well, i talked with the chp northbound 680 at 24. there is an accident it is the reverse commute right there at the interchange. that's the reason for all the commotion and slowing southbound 680 looks great. here we go metering lights just flicked on at the bay bridge toll plaza minor delays a few break lights coming across the span, but no trouble we had an earlier accident north 101 near the montague that's been cleared out of lanes. good news the montague expressway off-ramp though is down with this accident. so you'll take delacruz to capital expressway. we'll be back with more news traffic and weather coming up after the break.
