pressure, to address migration crisis that stretches up and down the western hemisphere. canada has seen unprecedented people entering the country, 40,000 last year, overwhelming canadian border communities. canada is turn back migrants seeking asylum and enter canada at unofficial crossing points. previously only those were turned back and in exchange canada will launch, has agreed to launch a new legal refugee program for 15,000 migrants from central and south america. that is expected and hoped it will take some pressure off the southern u.s. border. now migrant advocates on both sides of the border are criticizing this deal and say detention in the u.s. is unfair and dangerous for people fleeing persecution and violence. each of these leaders are facing so much pressure to bring order

smoldering. new protests in cities across , and setting fires in a number of cities. more than 450 demonstrators were arrested overnight nationwide and according to authorities 400 officers were injured in the midst of violent protests. people here are angry and upset about president emmanuel macron plan to raise minimum retirement age from 62 to 64. he says it is to protect the entire pension system. people are so upset about him implementing this plan and it was pushed through without a full vote in parliament. this is some tension building for months. workers and unions have been calling for protest and demonstrations every single day and linsey, demonstrations are expected to continue throughout the weekend. >> linsey: you can see why king charles decided not to come at this time.

>> dr. ashton: whit, this is the report out from the cdc, an important story behind the headline. what the cdc finding in terms of how common autism diagnosis is. in 2020, 1 in 36 children overall, how has that changed in two years? from 2018, it was 1 in 44. this is data from 11 communities around the country, it may not be representative of the entire picture. this was done after the pandemic, that definitely played into this change in numbers. >> also, doctor, for the first time since records have been kept, number of children diagnosed with autism in minority communities is rising. >> dr. ashton: yeah, that was significant finding of this study. we talked about how importnt it

is to look at the disease in different groups of people, they found diagnosis of autism increased in black, asian and hispanic communities, up by 30% in underserved communities when you compare 2020 to 2018. again, why is this happening? number one, we are better and more aggressive at making the diagnosis and on the lookout for that. when you look for something, you find it. also remember, during the pandemic, there was a big pause in making the diagnosis, so we were seeing it more now catching up, if you will. >> whit: early diagnosis critical especially when it comes to getting important resources. what should parelook out for? >> dr. ashton: learn the dev developmental milestones to watch for your child so you can know if your child deviates from that.

to the show. show us how it works. >> it scans the ocean floor for microplastics, it has motors here. you can see. >> michael: things everywhere. okay. >> this is designed to move it around on the ocean floor to look for hot spots where microplastics are either most likely to accumulate or most toxic plastics are, so we can concentrate cleanup in areas that need it most. >> michael: in order to make this work, you developed cool technology to help you detect microplastics in the ocean, how does that work? >> this camera i use to find the microplastics. it is mostly looking for two things, looking for unnatural colors that are most likely to be found on the plastics and that might not see in a natural ocean environment. things like bright green or orange. and it is able to avoid a lot of maine creatures like you can

you here. you are compelling and convincing in your roles you take on. what is it like to tap into the spirit of a mobster? where do you get that from? >> i got to meet with a couple mobsters that worked with bumpy johnson and junebug and they are sort of what it was like when they were fighting with him. then of course, like wrote a book about exploits in our lives and you start to take this information, the research and stuff and put together and you got to get the animal to be alive inside of you. >> you were telling how intense it is to play the character. i want to play a clip and show the softer side of bumpy who is talking to his daughter who is a recovering addict. >> i will get some men to drive you over there. >> to protect me? or make sure i don't go back to using? >> maybe a little bit of both. >> i have looked the monster in
