complains for fear of losing their jobs. arianna runs a sanctuary and remembers her 17 years at the humane society of the united states. >> they would be very excited if somebody -- a new hire was hot, that was like the topic of conversation, or like if she had big boobs, that would be amazing. >> reporter: she says male executives sleeping with subordinates was common and she reached her breaking point when the talk became very explicit. >> he said oh, so and so likes this sexual act, and i was like, what? how do you know? and he said oh, because we have pictures of it. >> reporter: she said the pictures circulated among the staff. she left hhus in 2014 after complaining about sexual harassment and reaching a settlement with the group. >> women have been quitting for years hhus because of these issues. >> reporter: alex left her position as a fund-raiser because of how the non-profit

responded to her problems with a donor. >> went to hug me and i tried to step away and he kissed me. so at that point, i did break away and left. he grabbed at my breasts. >> reporter: she says she handled advances from donors before but claims the response from an executive this time was shocking. >> take one for the team. >> reporter: do you think he was kidding or serious? >> i think half kidding. >> reporter: but there was a message there? >> absolutely, yes. do anything for the cause. >> reporter: that executive, vice president paul shapiro, denies the account, but politico reported in january that six women complained about inappropriate behavior by him in recent years. including claims he asked them to have sex and told lewd jokes in the office. shapiro, that once public face of the society, declined an interview.

but he sent a statement that reads in part -- >> reporter: as shapiro's story broke in january, accusations surfaced about the hue main society's ceo. >> women i didn't each know had stories were saying alex, what is that phone number? this is what happened to me four years ago. >> reporter: "the washington post" reports that investigators hired by the humane society interviewed 33 people and several former high ranking women had warned him his sexual relationships with subordinates and donors could hurt the charity. he e-mailed me saying -- >> reporter: he resigned as ceo earlier this month. >> i can't believe i had to

as well. we, believe it or not, don't blink, which those snowflakes over the higher elevations. you saw some of the pictures from earlier tonight. this hail was from the dublin hills. just beautiful pictures coming in. walnut creek and one more picture of the hail that was posted to my facebook page. these those pictures coming. we want to see them and you'll have more opportunities to get pictures of hail, snow, showers, you name it. temperatures right now, 30s, 40s, it's getting chilly. we have a wind advisory for the north bay hills. gusts up to 50 miles per hour. we look back towards san francisco. so chilly in the morning. a short break tomorrow. and then the stronger thunderstorm arrives midweek. so tomorrow, you will need the heavy coats and jackets as we drop below freezing in the north

boy, this is a thrill for people who know ryan joseph or know of his struggle. the high school wrestler suffered a spinal cord injury last month during a wrestling match. he was paralyzed and on a ventilator. his father shared this video of his progress. he's now getting around in a

wheelchair. ryan is undergoing treatment in colorado and expected to return to the bay area in april. >> we're pulling for you, ryan. good job. >> he has a go fund me page and his school has been really supportive. >> okay. mike shumann is in for larry tonight. >> sharks hope they have found an offensive spark. we'll hear from the gm. and the we have one to two fires a day and when you respond together and you put your lives on the line, you do have to surround yourself with experts. and for us the expert in gas and electric is pg&e. we run about 2,500/2,800 fire calls a year

and on almost every one of those calls pg&e is responding to that call as well. and so when we show up to a fire and pg&e shows up with us it makes a tremendous team during a moment of crisis. i rely on them, the firefighters in this department rely on them, and so we have to practice safety everyday. utilizing pg&e's talent and expertise in that area trains our firefighters on the gas or electric aspect of a fire and when we have an emergency situation we are going to be much more skilled and prepared to mitigate that emergency for all concerned. the things we do every single day that puts ourselves in harm's way, and to have a partner that is so skilled at what they do is indispensable, and i couldn't ask for a better partner.
