cb cotton' is live outside the new york state supreme court with a much more on what we can expect in the days ahead. >> hi arthel. the trial at winds at down the question now is whether former president donald trump's team will put up a defense for trump's lawyers certainly do not have to the burden is on the prosecution to prove to a jury trump is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt so jurors will have to decide whether they believe the prosecution's key witness and again trumps ex lawyer michael cohen who testified it was the former president who approved plans to suppress negative stories in an effort to protect 22016 presidential campaign. cohen testified quote everything required mr. trump's sign-up." the defense though has argued trump was trying to protect his family and not his campaign. during cross-examination trumps attorney todd blanche has worked to undermine cohen's

1:17 pm
in order for the prosecutors to clear the very high bar beyond a reasonable doubt for what really is three crimes here. the false business record entry and the intent to promote an election by unlawful means than the unlawful means being the campaign violations you would have to believe every word michael cohen says. michael cohen is the only link to those business record entries and donald trump he invokes allen weisselberg during his direct testimony a couple hundred times. of course alan is nowhere to be found in this trial. see you have to believe cohen. the defense team todd blanche did a masterful job of really drawing out the stark contrast between his direct testimony and his cross-examination on direct he was an eddie haskell character. he p private were the only onesi know what i'm talking not want to talk about eddie haskell leave it to beaver era.
