pennsylvania is a obviously very key state because president trump flipped it in 2016. to flip back was by narrow margins in 2020 and it's no surprise that he spending his time in these three days in scranton, pittsburgh and philadelphia. goes over he really drove up the numbers last time around and want to step -- start with you, patrick. want to look at the break down of pennsylvania voters in the most recent post, and here are the groups.

is promising so far. but they have nine more seats to fill and we'll see what the process is. again i do think it will be about two weeks but this is going to be a very difficult job for the defense. >> martha: and we spoke to mccarthy earlier kind of terrorism trial back in the early 2000, said it took him a month to see the jury in that case so we will see. if this two weeks, we'll see how that goes and will hold the people that are seated that -- can be fair. with regard to the judge's order repeatedly admonishing the former president, this time it was for monitoring during the jury selection process and sort of a 20 to one of the jurors who was answering a question. there is also obviously these three media post that the da said violate the gag order and that he could go away to jail for 30 days if he continues to this. new thing that will stop this kind of posting about the witnesses? >> you know, his order was a

big number 1. number 2 how these are posts, some of them are posts made by other people that he we post. you're looking there at a letter from stormy daniels where she denies ever having an affair with the president trump familiar looking at publicly made comments which are frankly in response to these witnesses going on msnbc and cnn and being able to speak. if the ultimate goal, martha, is that you don't think the jury pool, alex pang to me why it is -- is that these witnesses are able to go on and talk about the case? that witnesses can assume with the sin that are the basis for these merchants, how are they allowed to go on cnn and emmitt smith -- msnbc and speak about what they want to speak to but the leading candidate and nominee for the gop can't respond? that is so unconstitutional, there is a duel system of justice and there is no place for it. >> martha: you know, it's a great point because we do see cohen and daniels speaking out quite a bit and that is

i've seen it time and time again. i have been admonished like that. is by design. is to make you appear to be inept. it's to make you appear to be stupid in front of a jury and don't think that is not intentional. you know, all the trolls got all the journalists will put that out there. >> martha: a lot of people will interpret that on both sides of people trying to, you know, impact the jury pool and get their message out there before these jury members are chosen which is obviously something that is a bit of a concern. but i want to go back to my question before i let you go. do you think that this threat of 30 days in jail will change the social media actions of the former president in any way or will he keep doing this? >> i don't think so. i think that he is respectful but there has to be boundaries and we should -- is currently on appeal commercials there is also a due process all mentors. we have items on appeal in this case that have not yet been heard. >> martha: is a concern about the possibility of it being -- of him being sent to

jail as ramification? >> no. >> martha: he's not concerned about being sent to jail? >> i don't -- i think lucki anybody's concern about going to jail but if they put him to jail for his first amendment right he will be like nelson mandela. that would be just absurd and frankly they'll when -- >> martha: i just have a second but there two reports -- any reaction to that? is retired or as he just been running around a lot? any thoughts on that? >> if anything is probably brutally bored. i mean it's painful. they make him sit -- the first day was procedural but no, you know, of her the report, it's unlikely. i know him, i sat through trial after trial with him, that never happens. so president trump is incredibly focused. >> martha: alina habba think he was always. where to have you here. alina habba joining us this afternoon and now the articles of impeachment against homeland security secretary and -- let's listen to some of what the republican members have to say about what's going to happen now.

were disproven. and what this editor has done was to simply confirm what all of us knew that they -- that npr has become unrelentingly partisan and they've engaged in this type of advocacy journalism. but the end of the day mar martha, it doesn't matter what the slant is or whether it's slanted, we need to have a discussion in this country about state-funded media. you know, npr is indistinguishable from media outlets like msnbc or cnn, but they don't receive the subsidies. the question is why the united states, every taxp taxpayer, should subsidize npr. you know, the npr audience is overwhelmingly wealthy, certainly mineral -- better off than most americans get over my only white in their overwhelmingly liberal. about 70 sens identify themselves as liberals and that they expect every taxpayer who support them.
