no new laws have been passed. they can utilize some of those same policies that worked. same programs that worked. they choose not to do that. instead they want to blame it on congress. congress didn't create this crisis in 2021. the biden administration did and they have the ability to solve it today if they wanted to. >> harris: recent polling shows immigration again the number one issue ahead of november. the first time it has been in the top -- top of the list in five years. so it is not just one of the issues, it is the issue. look at the second. government. that's eight points behind immigration. a new fox survey shows majority of trust is coming for trump over biden when you talk about handling our border situation. maybe because of scenes like this one. take a look. the dramatic stampede in el paso last month where illegal border crossers beat texas national

the economy. we'll see a lot more stops in wisconsin in the days and weeks ahead. >> harris: all the battleground states and see if biden can continue to try to get the campaign schedule he is holding ahead of trump. it's interesting how those things slide on the calendar. texas has stopped waiting on the white house. it has taken matters into its own hands. it whats to secure the people in the state. the citizens of america who live in texas. officials now are installing new razor wire along the border in el paso. they did the same months ago in eagle pass despite the administration's legal challenges. eagle pass had to secure to the point illegals have moved on to easier spots now to cross because you fill in one area, and the cartels make sure that they pop people and drugs through in other areas. one of those places right now is the state of new mexico. they are seeing a huge jump in illegal encounters. every fiscal year since biden

state now with all of this going on? >> absolutely not. absolutely not. the policies of the biden administration have hurt every new mexican and dereliction of duty of our local officials. we see texas and arizona trying to seal up the leaky pipeline. it puts more pressure on the center of the pipeline new mexico. we are a lath state that hasn't been in the news a whole lot. i tell you what, our numbers are -- our local law enforcement are the ones that are left picking up the slack on this. and not supported by our state and definitely the policies of the biden administration. >> harris: i do want to hit this one point having to do with resources. you are talking about your law enforcement resources. you call yourselves a little state that hasn't gotten a lot of attention. you are getting a lot of attention now from the cartel members. you will have the fentanyl and

the crime. you will also have a humanity push into your state. how do you think the temperature is? what is the temperature for putting up razor wire and the things we know are working in the state of texas to keep people out, illegals out? >> you know, walls work. they simply do. we see that by this latest court order to open up some of the gates for wildlife migration. so if the walls stop wildlife surely they can stop humans. they have gone in and cut some of these gates and left them wide open just under the name of wildlife migration putting animals above people and safety. last week we had two incidents where there were illegal immigrants going into the schools in santa theresa to hide from border patrol. we see them apprehending a convicted sex offender that was -- that had violently raped a girl in kansas and arrested him on the board. this is ridiculous that we would

put animals over people and take power out of our local law enforcement to do anything. we see the national guard sending them down to secure the border there at el paso and doing a few things. we have not done anything here in the state of new mexico. our governor refuses to do anything. >> harris: what we have learned from el paso and san diego and other parts of southern california is when the cartels realize they need to move their operations to a more porous place, you are next. and they are watching. >> absolutely. >> harris: state senator of the great state of new mexico and i appreciate your time and we'll check back in through the process. >> bill: thank you. >> harris: israel took out a top leader of iran's revolutionary national guard in syria. this was major breaking news. you were watching "the faulkner focus" yesterday. we now know israel was targeting that person's residence.

that killer's residence. he was with a quds force specializing in weapons. remember who has been hitting us? syria going through lebanon trying to hit our men and women in the middle east. his residence sat on an upper floor of a building at the iranian embassy compound. the united states through its officials now have told iran quote, it had no involvement in the israeli strike. more developments this hour. watch for those. plus independent candidate robert f. kennedy, jr. making his case for president. >> i don't look at myself as liberal or conservative. i feel i'm common sense on issues. i think the issues that are really existential in this country are issues that are important to both political parties. >> harris: some democrats see r.f.k. junior's campaign as a threat to president biden.
8:13 am
team biden is fighting to keep kennedy's name off the ballot. kellyanne conway in "focus" next. here she is live.

j. >> and i'm concerned that his campaign and running for office as an independent is going to lead to trump's election. i love my brother and it pains me to come out against him but i am very concerned with the stakes in this election and i'm very concerned from the polls that i'm seeing, that he takes many more votes from biden than he does from trump. >> harris: that is rfk's sister.
8:19 am
it's highlighting democrats' big fears the independent candidate is a real threat to president biden's re-election. that worry is likely to grow as his campaign says it has enough signatures to get on north carolina's ballot. the fifth state where he has reached that threshold. one headline has it this way. biden's nightmare scenario for key battleground state is one step closer to reality. biden camp and dnc have put together to block his ballot access and he explained it this morning why he thinks biden actually is a bigger threat to democracy than donald trump. watch. >> president biden has done something that no other president in history has done, which is to order media to censor his political opponents. president trump said questioning the election, of course that's a threat to democracy, but it is
8:20 am
not the worst threat undermining the first amendment of our constitution and then weaponizing the federal agencies to get his opponents off the ballot. >> harris: the fox news poll. look at it. r.f.k., junior gets 12% of the national vote in a five-way race. you can figure out where the others go. r.f.k. junior is the deepest competitor you are looking at on the screen. kellyanne conway and former senior advisor to president trump. you sat down and immediately during the commercial said i can't believe a relative of r.f.k. jr. is seeing something. she is so much younger than biden. what did you mean? >> well, i'm sure it pains people to go against their own brother for president. she is supporting biden and the reason she gave was trump.
8:21 am
put all that together, quite a salacious triangle. the resurgence and like le re-election of donald trump has made otherwise reasonable intelligent people crazy and say things i know they can't believe. they let the lies fly constantly because they can't deal with another term of donald trump. what will we do with lower taxes and fewer regulation and energy independence and no new wars? a secure border? all these things that donald trump will bring back. but i think that r.f.k., junior's statements were insightful and important. he is catching on just because of young people and libertarians. it's because the democrat party ejected him. he was running in the primary as a democrat against joe biden. the dnc chair said there won't be debate and silence and censor him. he is now running as an

independent. he took votes away from joe biden. in a five-way race nationally and all swing states. cornell, stein, kennedy and biden and trump. so far the candidates are not taking away from donald trump. may i say the so-called no labels in january said we have seven weeks and 14 candidates are out of time. they have a lot of money and out of time and no candidates. they were trying to stop trump. i hope some of them will come over and support trump. >> harris: when you is a i the democratic party ejected r.f.k. junior it's phenomenal what has happened. they had to have seen that a kennedy -- i said this from the very beginning. a kennedy would carry some portion of the party just out of curiosity for people on the left. and now it's more than that because immigration is number one. biden has united everybody in the country against his border

policy. he has done that yoonfication. let's get to this. former clinton strategist was talking about biden's youth voter problem. >> i have been vocal about this. it is horrifying, our numbers among younger voters, particularly black, younger blacks, younger latinos. we aren't shedding them. they're leaving in the droves. >> harris: it's almost like what you said. ejection. younger voters were key to biden's coalition in 2020. a pew research center analysis finds 59% of voters 18-29 voted for him in 2020 presidential election compared to trump's 33%. a poll from february shows biden with the support of 52% of 18 to
8:24 am
34-year-old voters and trump received support from 48%. that's a jump of 15 points for trump. why? >> a couple things and shouldn't be looked upon as joe biden's age, ability and acuity. it's his policies. if you are a young couple or young person in your 20s. canceling student debt that the supreme court said you couldn't do. when will you afford your first home and get out of debt? we have the national debt. people are afraid to have children now saying i want to be a parent but i can't afford anybody else on my payroll at home. i'm trying to support myself. they have done nothing but take for granted all the core democrat constituencies. union households, women, african-american, hispanics, young people. donald trump doesn't need to get a majority of any of them and still in in a monster

significant moves in donald trump's new york cases. the judge in his upcoming hush money trial expanded the gag order against him. it now includes family members of manhattan district attorney alvin bragg and other court officials. former deputy u.s. attorney andy mccarthy said this. >> the reason this is an issue is because they've scheduled these trials to commence prior to the election. trump didn't ask for that. it was what the court did in conjunction with the district attorney. trump is running for president. he has got a first amendment right to campaign and he has a right to make his defense. and he may be right or wrong but it is perfectly appropriate to make a defense that this is a politicized prosecution against him and that the judge is biased. >> harris: we'll get into more on that in a moment. also this. the former president hosted a $175 million bond in his civil fraud case that allows him to appeal. this is the very next step.
8:32 am
his appeal of the nearly half billion dollar judgment against him. it also stops state attorney general letitia james from doing the thing she was thirsty to do, get trump and seize his new york assets. fox senior correspondent eric shawn now. >> former president donald trump as you said has been ordered to stop talking about people connected to his criminal stormy daniels payoff case. the judge expanded the partial order that already barred comments about witnesses, jurors, attorneys and court staff. it now includes the judge's daughter and any family members of anyone involved in the upcoming trial. this after trump criticized the judge's daughter as a rabid trump hater and happens to be president and partner of the chicago-based political consulting firm that worked for president biden. vice president harris and many other prominent democrats. the former president posting this on truth social saying quote, they can talk about me
8:33 am
but i can't talk about them? that sounds fair, doesn't it? this judge should be recused and the case thrown out. his attorneys claim that it is first amendment. the judge says attacking family members and attorneys assigned to his case serves no purpose. no longer a mere possibility or reasonable likelihood that there exists to the integrity of the judicial proceedings, the threat is very real. trump is still free to criticize the judge, and bragg. jonathan turley says families should be off limits. >> i would prefer that trump leave these attacks or issues raised with the judge's family to his counsel. that's always the better approach. but in this case you have prosecutors pushing this trial right before an election.
8:34 am
>> trump's lawyers say they may try to get the judge removed from the case. for right now this fraud trial is still set to start on april 15th. >> harris: eric shawn, thank you very much. matthew whitaker former acting attorney general under former president trump is with me here live. let's start with the gag order. i want to ask what you know about this judge's family and what the president did in response to reports that were around the judge's daughter. talk to me. >> there has been several things. we need to understand this democrat -- judge is a democrat appointed by democrats and donated to joe biden's campaign. there is no doubt who he prefers in this case. that's concerning. the second thing is his daughter runs a digital consulting firm that sends out the emails that we all get too many of and raised almost $1 hundred million for adam schiff and the democrats in the senate. based on this trial and these charges by alvin bragg.
8:35 am
now, there was some allegation in the court filings by the president's team that on twitter this daughter was very active and had done some pretty outlandish things. >> harris: somebody changed her profile picture to look like trump behind bars is what i've read. you know it wasn't her. >> the court administrator tells us she doesn't have control of that twitter account and over the last year or so it hasn't been her posting. somebody allegedly -- this is the hard thing. is the the system supposed to have not only be free of conflicts of interest, but the appearance of a conflict and it seems to me if we're not at that point, when do we get to that point? this judge certainly has -- if not bias against president trump he is not cheering for him to have a fair outcome in this case. >> harris: he wouldn't be alone in that. look at what we've seen with candidates like fani willis in georgia and letitia james.
8:36 am
plenty of tape out there of both of those women, one a d.a. and one an attorney general getting funds off his name and going after him. >> it's the weaponization of the court and justice system continue to be a massive problem in the new cases. >> harris: a federal judge in los angeles has denied all eight of hunter biden's motions to dismiss his tax case. the first son is accused of hatching a four-year scheme to avoid paying $1.4 million in taxes. however, the feds say he seemed to have plenty of money for other things. well, just google him and the youtube videos will pop up. he spent money on drugs, es escorts, cars, his attorney claimed it was a politically fueled prosecution but the judge said he didn't provide evidence
8:37 am
of that. a judge looking for evidence in a hunter biden case. >> imagine that, the facts matter. all of those sordid things that hunter biden did, he then tried to deduct a lot of them from his tax returns. the judge is like this is not politically motivated. >> harris: what part of women of the night, drugs -- what can you deduct from your taxes on that? >> you can't. this is why the alleged scheme over the four years is just -- doesn't even pass the laugh test at this point. >> harris: does this go to trial? >> i think so. he had a sweetheart deal all signed, sealed and deliver and it fell apart and now he is facing multiple felonies in multiple jurisdictions. a worst case scenario outcome. they are trying to negotiate a global resolution but i can't imagine weiss will take any deal short of some jail time. >> harris: all this breaking out during the time of his father's re-election bid.
8:38 am
why does it matter? his behavior in the past has always been a national security concern. would it have made him vulnerable with the biden name and his dad in office at that time as vice president? great to see you always. thank you. let's get into this breaking news. president biden spoke with china's president xi this morning. that call has now concluded and it is the first time the world leaders have shared a phone call since july of 2022. their last face-to-face meeting was in november after which biden famously called xi a dictator. but now look, a call today. the white house anticipated the president and xi would discuss counter narcotics. artificial intelligence. taiwan and russia and their war with ukraine. not on the call tiktok and covid-19.

ministers and worked between bill clinton and perez, one of the proudest moments of my life. this is actually one of the saddest moments of my life, the schism between the only democratically elected government in the middle east, israel, which was subject to an unprecedented terrorist attack, and the united states. so i think this is tragic. i think it's mostly politics, harris. we all want a cease-fire but most of all we want the hostages home and we want then and only then for there to be a peace. >> harris: not everybody wants a cease-fire. i had the family on yesterday of an american hostage who was born and grew up in long island, new york. he was in a tank fighting for the i.d.f. in the footsteps of his mom and dad who were born and raised in israel and taken hostage during the whole melee and confusion that happened

after the massacre. who belongs where? how do we get people out of here? he was inside a tank and savages of hamas plucked him out and still have him. he said they don't necessarily want netanyahu out of office. it is not about cease-fire. it is about do a deal that gets the hostages back. gianno. >> amen. >> i'm going to have to completely agree with doug on that point and i will even further by saying the reason why i believe joe biden has gone further to the left and taking on the demands of the progressives is because joe biden, according to an analysis i read, is receiving almost half of the donations that he received from jewish americans. there is a lot of democrats who, you know, out of 8 million jewish americans that live here in the united states of america, about 60% of those folks are democrat. that's probably the reason why he hasn't completely shifted because he is between a rock and

a hard place with young people as we know have been coming out in support for hamas and other factions in there. >> harris: wow. i had not heard it was that high of a number. that's a problem for biden. the backlash is continuing over president biden proclaiming the annual transgender day of visibility on easter sunday. now remember transgender day of visibility does fall on march 31st. this year so did easter. there could have been a statement made that they would observe it on saturday or observe it on monday. we do that sometimes with holidays that fall on different dates. we'll observe them the day before or the day after. anyway, this is high holy day, the highest on the christian calendar. it looks like that kind of calculation wasn't made. biden's latest comments may be making some things worse. he claimed house speaker mike johnson was thoroughly uninformed when he called it outrageous the thaw the trans

celebration was on easter and he added i didn't do that. florida governor desantis wants to know who did? what's going on? >> wait a minute. he said it didn't happen. he said he didn't do it. which raises the question either he isn't being honest with the public or really didn't know what was going on. my question would be who is running the presidency? is it a bunch of woke 20 something-year-old white house staffers that just put out this dribble whenever they want. the fact he is not owning up to it. either way it's bad. >> harris: quick answers, gentlemen. doug. >> we don't know who is in charge. it was abhorrent. the transgender day would be scheduled on easter sunday as an ob servant jew who believes in the ethic this was plain wrong. >> harris: it sounds like you

are leaning away for your party. you didn't vote for hillary clinton. will you vote for biden? >> it is very, very hard. tune in, harris, i will be back to you on that. >> harris: i will tell you, there is over 64% of americans identify as christian. the transgender number isn't that high. the fact that they are doing this and have done this says where they are putting their faith in and it's coming election and not with the christian people. >> harris: all right, gentlemen, thank you, great to see you. i always tune into you both for the update on where you are going. thank you for watching "the faulkner focus."
