border patrol agents there say they are overwhelmed with the relentless flood of migrants arriving daily as the state showdown with the biden administration makes its way through the courts. hello everyone. happy easter. welcome to a brand-new hour of fox news live. i am jonathan. arthel: hello. happy easter. there mission to stop this sort of thing from happening again. it is a wild scene caught on camera. a large group of migrants reached the barrier at one of the checkpoints and trampled across the razor wire and knockdown the soldiers protecting the border. they report nearly 120,000 migrant encounters in the el paso center alone since october 1. that is a huge concern there and elsewhere along the border. >> we don't know who most of

that just means we've been friends for a long time. i am a theologian. that easter message is what is so special. it is so simple. a story of the life of jesus. you go to the gospels and you read that god became man. born as a baby in a stable and poverty. silence and doing very simple things like most of us do every day with work and family. but then he went to the cross and died for us after being betrayed by his own disciples and be persecuted by the romans and leaders, the jewish people at the time. yet, even though he died, he rose again. and he. to, again, some very simple people. they went and they told the story. these are dark times for many

people, but jesus was born into dark times for the jewish people he was a jew himself. he lived a heroic life and then gave his life for us. the story of easter is one of great gratitude for life, triumph over death he had difficulty being squashed by the light of the resurrection which is hope in this world. >> jonathan, i wonder why you think that the message perhaps does not seem to be resonating in the united states quite the way that it used to. looking at a gallup poll that we pulled out. 17% of americans are considered religion being important to them 2000 a little uptick 2023 just 45% say that religion was important to them. why do you think that is?
10:56 am
>> only one out of three americans go to church on a regular basis. we see in other parts of the world that this story is very different. and uptick in spirituality. we have everything at our fingertips. even with our own sufferings. when we are prosperous it is easier for us to think we are not therefore self-reliant. it is sad to say, but it is when the tough things happen to us that we often turn to spirituality and find a purpose and mission in life. right now the united states, we live a pretty comfortable life. all of our own pains and weaknesses. another interesting thing that as people get older they turned more towards religion. >> jonathan morris, our favorite the old jen. great to have you here.
