trump is now projected to win the state of utah. 40 delegates are up for grabs there. the former president projected to win alaska. so far he's defeated nikki haley in all but one super tuesday primary election, inching closer to nomination with 564 new delegates in his column so far. >> they call it super tuesday for a reason. this is a big one. and they tell me the pundits and otherwise, there has never been one like this, never been anything so conclusive. this was an amazing night. we're going to take back our country, do it right and have the greatest economy in history. we will top what we did.
1:02 am
>> carley: you are watching "fox and friends first" on super wednesday morning. i'm carley shimkus. >> todd: a carley shimkus branded title. president biden solidifying his path to his party's nomination. there were warning signs especially in minnesota, where many voted uncommitted. matt flynn is there and lucas tomlinson is in washington, d.c. with more. lucas. >> lucas: good early morning. donald trump on his way to. the delegate after super tuesday. donald trump has more than 60% of way to securing republican nomination for the third time. nikki haley won vermont, very doesn't second right now. here is donald trump from
1:03 am
mar-a-lago from last night. >> our poll numbers are higher than joe biden. he's the worst president in history of our country, never been anything like what is happening in our country. they want open borders and open borders are going to destroy our country. we need borders and free and fair elections. >> lucas: how long will nikki haley stay in the race? her campaign offered little clues saying "we're honored to have received support of millions of americans today, including vermont, where nikki haley became first republican woman to win two contests, talking about vermont, it is not achieved by claiming we're united." and the uncommitted vote continue to plague the biden campaign. in minnesota, biden won 7-10 voters, but nearly 2 in 10 voted
1:04 am
uncommitted. in north carolina, voting no preference. president biden lost his first primary this year in american samoa, where jason palmer defeated the president winning 56% of the vote. who is jason palmer? a baltimore resident who campaigned using zoom. x posted day before the race he is advocate of america samoa. president michael blockberg won there in 2020. >> carley: he is from maryland, a venture capitalist. his campaign website crashed because everybody was looking to see who is this guy.
1:05 am
>> todd: i wanted to do two separate hours on jason palmer and i was rebuffed. lucas tomlinson, thank you. we're following important down ballot races. california senate race, schiff and republican steve garvey, dodgers and padres, both advancing to general election in november. >> carley: matt flynn will join us, hi, matt. >> garvey and schiff are looking to fill the seat left by dianne feinstein. >> tonight is first game of a doubleheader. second game will be daunting like a super bowl over fourth quarter or eight innings. it should be exciting temperature is competition now. >> looks like we're going to the general, ladies and gentlemen. you helped us build the biggest
1:06 am
grassroots campaign in california history and i cannot thank you enough. >> schiff and garvey were the top two vote getters. republicans have not advanced a candidate in two of the last three elections here. the match up heading into the general election means california will not have a woman senator for first time in three decades. worth noting in will can, governor newsom did not endorse any democratic candidate, but tweeted a congratulations to schiff this evening. in hollywood, pro-palestinian protesters interrupted schiff's celebration with ceasefire now and it took over the entire room. >> ceasefire now! ceasefire now!
1:07 am
[cheering and chanting] >> i want to thank you all. >> ceasefire now! ceasefire now! >> schiff says he backs the biden administration's call for a ceasefire in exchange for israeli hostages. in north carolina, mark robinson, favorite among evangelicals has advances backing the first black nominee in their history. senator ted cruz nominated again and will face colin allred. >> carley: bring in pollster justin wallen. your votes are in, what are the top takeaways? >> big night for donald trump, he is the definitive winner for
1:08 am
super tuesday. nikki haley won vermont and congratulations to her. that was going to be much tighter than it appeared. she was shown polling 30 points behind. good for her temperature is almost impossible to see a credible path moving forward. she does not have campaign events scheduled past today, understand that is where it is. a number of down ballot items, mentioned earlier, california had interesting turnout in primary. a republican versus democrat in the senate race, that is in itself interesting that a republican advance. a republican won't win and points toward the fact there are a number of tight races within california that compose 18 that dnc want to take the house.
1:09 am
a couple races, 22 and 47, one is valideo. by no means a walkover in district biden won by 13 points and same thing for porter's old district, katie porter is no longer in office because of a loss to schiff. no easy path forward for democrats winning back the house. >> todd: valedeo race is key for democrats if they want to take it back. let's focus on the presidency, does nikki haley drop out when the sun comes up today? >> i think so. i can hear an argument that says another voice needs to be there. at this point, she becomes less and lsz material and less credible and her judgement would be questioned. if i was advising her, the time
1:10 am
has come to drop out. >> carley: on the democratic side, this movement to vote uncommitted to protest president biden's war in gaza. 19% of vote in minnesota, enough to send delegates to the convention, 13% in north carolina, 10% in massachusetts and 8% in colorado and keeps ongoing. biden campaign responded to 19% in minnesota saying the president believes making your voice heard is fundamental to who we are as americans and shares the goal for end to v violence and is working toward this. what does the president do here? >> the movement has momentum and surprising it has quick momentum. granted more strong where there are muslim voters, but for
1:11 am
minnesota to have that large proportion to vote uncommitted, that is fire. the challenge for president biden, he doesn't win this fight, he can't win and capture those voters and remain support among jewish democratic voters. what this speaks, to enhances has enthusiasm. these fractionalizing issues are bigger as we walk into the general, interesting to see how it pans out, big problem. >> todd: if enough uncommitted do not vote for joe biden in the general, joe biden loses minnesota and entire presidency bigly, to borrow a phrase from donald trump. minnesota is pretty much a democratic state, if he loses that, it is over for him. to another state that felt purple and now feeling more blue, talking about colorado.
1:12 am
donald trump easily winning colorado after supreme court unanimously ruled he could stay on the ballot. how is lawfare when you see voters supporting trump, that is basically 30% there. >> it is a massive win for trump and reinforces the fact political efforts driven legally to bar former president trump from the ballot are catastrophic failure. if you look at that supreme court ruling, it was unanimous. people see that. independents see that and republicans. the distinction in terms of legal efforts, political legal efforts impacting key candidates, these efforts are galvanizing trump, republicans
1:13 am
galvanizing trump voters and in contrast biden's legal woes are not legalizing biden voters. interesting disparity that backfired. >> todd: trump winning despite the legal stuff going on, justin wallin winning despite the construction going on behind him. other news, fani willis today, after key witness in her case is accused of lying on the stand. >> carley: it is a party on "fox and friends first." we invited david webb and enes kanter freedom in this two-hour edition of "fox and friends first."

1:19 am
including 100 measures to fight crime, more punishment for organized retail theft. democratic mayor bowser is expected to sign it. >> i want to make something clear. we don't want to lockup our kids. but we might have to if they are using guns. all right, it is that simple. not only are they using guns, they are victims of guns. >> carley: 5000 crimes have been reported so far this year, that is less than three months last year homicides increased 35%, robbery skyrocketed 70% and carjacking up nearly 100%. todd. >> todd: georgia state committee hearing today with attorney who exposed alleged affair set to
1:20 am
testify as a subpoena. it is claimed one witness lied about when the affair started. mr. bradley testified to was contrary to what mr. bradley told attorney cindy leyager. nema, thank you for being here, we're talking about a number of are wells involved in the case. the lawyer testifying in front of georgia state senate is ashleigh merchant, a lawyer for the defense. how rare for a defense attorney to testify in front of a legislative body in middle of case she is working on? that seems odd to me. >> well, todd, it is rare. what we're dealing with is potential misconduct proceedings against fani willis and this is
1:21 am
something judge mcafee eluded to. this is somewhat related when you have a georgia legislative body looking into allegations. >> todd: what impact, if any, could this senate hearing have on the underlying case? >> i don't think it will have any impact. what we need here is a financial conflict of interest. not just lying or paying your boyfriend, we need something more. that is why you see the defense say they are trying to connect the dot and argue this was unlawful kickback scheme. i am not sure they connected the dots yet. >> todd: you don't think the judge has enough to disqualify fani willis or her office? >> i think, if i had to guess, i
1:22 am
think mcafee will keep her on the case. that doesn't mean she shouldn't stretch down. it has cast a cloud over the proceedings, unnecessary circus. >> todd: if the judge does not disqualify her in the case, what happens if the state bar kecks her out? seems like it would be tough to be a prosecutor in georgia if you don't have your bar card. what happens then? >> career prosecutors would step in and take over the case. the issue is not just fani willis, should her entire office be disqualified? if they do, another district attorney's office would have to step in and take over and given proceedings where we are, last case to be fired, 15
1:23 am
co-defendants left, it is unlikely if he will get a trial before the general election. >> todd: closing arguments set for today, state rests in rust movie case. one testifying that he provided no live rounds to the rust set. listen. >> did you provide any live ammunition to the set of rust? >> no. did you give any live ammunition to sara zachary? >> no. have you seen photos of the live ammunition found on the set of rust? >> i have. >> did you possess any ammunition that being looked like that? >> no. this is the case of the armorer. if that party did not bring the live ammunition, did the armorer? >> that is what the state is arguing. there were live rounds on set
1:24 am
and they were in hannah gutierrez possession. maybe she said the supplier gave the live round s. when law authorities conducted investigation, they found no ammunition that matched the round fired. this is all good news for alec baldwin. this could happen, if gutierrez is charged, baldwin, if acquitted, baldwin and his lawyers have a free preview of the testimony and exhibits to come out at trial and be better
1:25 am
equipped. >> todd: there you go. we covered a lot, thank you. president biden calling for ceasefire in gaza as he faces backlash from voters. >> president biden: got to be a ceasefire, because ramadan, it could be dangerous. >> todd: the issue has democrats divided, live in washington looking how this plays into joe biden's state of the union tomorrow. >> carley: a florida sheriff puts washington on notice. >> they set up there behind gated communities and congress, if we can catch the local level, they can stop it on the federal level. shame on all of them. >> carley: we'll tell you what else that sheriff is saying this morning, keep it here on "fox and friends first".

1:31 am
>> carley: president biden is calling for a ceasefire in gaza after support cost him hundreds of thousands of votes. >> good morning, you might call itir caing, others callous and calculated. white house's call for ceasefire in gaza, they are definitely pushing for one now, more than ever. >> president biden: there has to be a ceasefire because ramadan, if we get into a circumstance where this continues to ramadan, israel and jerusalem, it could be dangerous. there has been rationale offer, israelis have agreed to it and
1:32 am
wait and see what hamas does. >> with that as backdrop mr. biden will call on israeli leaders to help end the war with hamas. he is all in, as far as welcoming family members of the hostages to his state of the union address. when you examine how things went on super tuesday, take minnesota for example, has fairly large muslim population. nearly a fifth of those casting votes in the democratic primary voted uncommitted. in north carolina, 13% of those casting ballots expressed no preference. that case has a vigil rant muslim community. inflation, the border, the
1:33 am
botched departure from afghanistan could be playing in. something to keep an eye on, carley and todd. >> carley: kevin corke live in washington. thank you. president trump making big gains this super tuesday, winning 14 of 15 states up for grabs, including delegate powerhouses of california and texas. nikki haley winning victory in vermont and that all but sets stage for trump-biden rematch this november. both close in on delegates to clinch their party nomination. voters join me now. harold, from north carolina and claudia from texas. harold, the delegate count 993 for donald trump and nikki haley 83. magic number is 1215. how do you feel about how things
1:34 am
are shaping up and who did you vote for yesterday? >> i voted for donald trump. i think mrs. haley should get out of the race and us all get behind donald trump. >> carley: why do you support the former president? >> four years ago, thins were cheaper, car insurance, tickets to the theater, gasoline, clothing, it was cheaper. i vote for policy, not personality. >> carley: gas prices around the country are ticking up, so that is going to be top of conversation to follow in the weeks ahead. claudia, you are in texas, 15% of voters are hispanic voters, that is high and according to latest sienna poll trump is beating biden 46 to 40.
1:35 am
biden campaign must be losing their mind about this. what is the current president doing wrong and the former president doing right? >> coming from a former town, in el paso, we are a city and state of immigrant and nation of immigrants, but what is going on is unfortunate. the murder of laken riley came through el paso and that is sad and unfortunate and discouraging to know a lot of people are coming through el paso and taking advantage and we are helping them get into the country essentially. >> carley: harold, you are former nypd officer, you know mayor eric adams well, i believe you trained him to become a police officer. the issue of crime and public safety played major role in midterm election and what is
1:36 am
happening two years later, the crime issue are merging into one. so where do you see that going? >> well, it looks like the former president had the border under control when he was in office and despite opposition to get the abortion under control, it was better than it is now. crime is -- we have criminality from american citizens. anything from people that don't belong here is not helpful, not helpful at all and should be dealt with accordingly. if you are arrested and here illegally, you should be deported, that simple. >> carley: seems like it should be a no-brainer. is that why you moved to north carolina because of crime? what took you away from new york state? >> affordability, taxes, schools
1:37 am
not the greatest, but better than new york city. i relocated to north carolina. >> carley: claudia, the former president delivered victory speech at mar-a-lago and addressed the border. here is what he had to say. >> the things that are happening now are unthinkable and they are unthinkable at the border. we have millions of people invading our country. this is an invasion, this is the worst invasion probably, eave never had anything like it. no country has had anything like it. >> carley: claudia, state of the union address is coming up tomorrow and issue of the border is question mark how the current president will address that. anything you would like to hear him say? how do you think he will talk about that issue? >> president biden came down to el paso in january of 2022, a
1:38 am
year ago and the city did a good job cleaning up everything going on and he didn't see exactly what was happening. being lifelong el pasoan, i want him to consider we were safer before and now having record number of car chases in our community, something that had never happened before. i hope he understands el paso is democratic stronghold and el paso and voting for president biden and he needs not to ignore us. a lot is upon haing. we're allowing violent people to come in through el paso into the interior of the nation. >> carley: harold, party breakdown for republican party, 74% voted for donald trump, 23% for nikki haley, solid trump
1:39 am
win. some people are worried about donald trump's ability to unite the party, as they say, are you concerned about that? >> if you look at his policy, they were good for america. get rid of nonsense people pay attention to. look at kitchen table issues. gas, groceries, home insurance cheaper. you can't beats that. >> carley: you look at policy, not personality. have a great day, happy super wednesday. >> todd: you'll keep that up. >> carley: i'll stop, maybe one more time. hillary clinton has a lot of advice for voters this time around. watch. >> joe biden is old, let's accept the reality, pick between your two old ones and figure out
1:40 am
how to save our democracy. >> carley: quite the comment. >> todd: the kamala cackle. beaut join /* pete buttigieg joining the machine. >> when you say it is not his fault -- >> that is literally not true. >> todd: it literally is true. fox contributor david webb joins us next.

1:46 am
paperwork that allows them to fly for free. southwest will let your bags fly free, federal government will let illegal immigrant fly free. >> todd: he says they are too busy playing politics to handle the migrant crisis. >> they sit behind gated communities and congress and play politics while illegals are victimized, citizens are victimized and children are victimized. they can stop it on the federal level. shame on -- >> todd: judd is joining "fox and friends" with more on the crisis. >> carley: and transportation secretary pete buttigieg is working overtime to spin the move away from his boss. >> it is a major campaign issue.
1:47 am
we know what president biden said about inviting people in. he got rid of all things president trump had put in. when you say it is not his fault -- >> that is literally not true. >> did you see 7.2 -- >> carley: how about that interview on cnbc. >> carley: president got rid of remain in mexico and border wall. the president has taken 535 executive actions on immigrant, what is the transportation secretary trying to do here? >> david: lie. one word. we're supposed to believe those initial 91 executive orders, the actions you are talking about,
1:48 am
the fact the president goes to safest point at the border, he did not go to san diego or eagle pass, where former president trump was and the fact your communities or our communities across america don't see resources being used on illegal aliens while veterans are being pushed out of their homes. this is a lie, it is gaslighting the american people pete buttigieg could not get transportation right and now will be front man to attempt to deflect for president biden, it is not going to work. >> carley: on thursday, the president has state of the union address, serious high stakes, there are questions how he'll
1:49 am
address the border issue. it is number one issue on minds of people across the country. people would like to hear him say, things are going to change and announce -- immigrant, do you think he will do that? >> david: no, he might call us neanderthals again, new version of hillary clinton's deplorables. biden will not make a change because it doesn't fit what his real left-wing base wants and there is a lot of money in donations that come to the democratic party, up and down the ballot. he will not do anything about it. he will blame republicans. he will probably miscast, i will use that word nicely, what happened before his
1:50 am
administration. he will get up there and push their angle and their narrative on the far left and try to get americans to believe he will slip back to the middle. joe, who ran as most progressive candidate as democrat, will say i'm the moderate trying to win second term and america, i understand you. he is not capable or willing. >> carley: 72% of voters blame biden for the situation at the border. we'll see if he changes his tune there. you mentioned hillary clinton just now. she recently said something about president biden making news, listen to this. >> joe biden is old, let's go ahead and accept reality.
1:51 am
we have a contest between one candidate who is old but done an effective job and doesn't threaten our democracy and another candidate who is old, barely makes sense when he talks, is dangerous, pick between your two old ones and figure out how you will save our democracy. >> carley: clear cut as that, david? >> david: hillary clinton was born in 1947, she's 77 years old, get a mirror and you'll never be president, glass ceiling is broken around you and you are not part of it. she simply hates donald trump because he defeated her. there are ongoing efforts to deconstruct our electoral
1:52 am
system. they go after ballot issues and things that would secure elections. hillary clinton is part of the dangerous block of leftist or elitist that keep power at our expense and she has to prop up joe biden. he is old, uncle joe, preserving democracy as guy who tries to take his opponent off the ballot with left wing allies. just don't believe hillary clinton. you are same age as donald trump. that is it, bye. >> carley: axios piece says despite everything going on with mental acuity is to go for trump's jugular, criticize him, insult him and get trump to take the bait, which could impact
1:53 am
trump negatively with female voters and suburban women, rile him up. how do you feel about that strategy? picking a fight with the man who has mastered insults. >> david: maybe he's going to bring cornpop out and we can meet cornpop. joe biden has been doing this his whole political career. how we have heard the f word or s word is thrown around and they think by pretending to be the tough kid at the pool, you are the tough kid at the pool and he's not. sometimes you fake anger to seem like a tough kid. it is not going to overcome reality that other kids at the pool, not just because of the border crisis and security crisis, look at inflation, core
1:54 am
inflation high and wages going down because of counter inflation brings and costs going up, he can't get past the kitchen table, he has to say he's tough guy at the pool and he's frankly not. >> carley: great point how americans perceive the president insulting donald trump if that is his strategy as opposed to talking about economy and crime and i wouldn't be walking in and battling donald trump when it comes to smack talk department, thank you for joining us, have a great day. see you soon. >> todd: to david's point, if he brought out cornpop, game changer for me. >> carley: we have your first look at biden campaign new strategy after super tuesday all but confirms a trump v biden rematch in november. we just got our hands on the campaign memo and grace curly will break it down.
1:55 am
