on super tuesday with a total of 874 delegates up for grabs. rachel: former president trump securing 10 times as many delegates than nikki haley in races. will: joining us from washington is madeleine. reporter: map looks for favorable for former trump on super tuesday more than a third of gop delegates up for grans and more of the states by winner take all and majority of the vote gets all of the delegates that is a clear advantage for trump who is touting his performance on saturday after sweeping the michigan gop convention and the missouri and idaho gop caucuses. >> today it look like we're winning close to 100% of both missouri and michigan and on to the last total it at last tuesday -- michigan total was a record but now we're adding on the rest.

latest delegate tally stands at 244 for trump and 24 for nikki haley but defending her primary performance. take michigan for example, where she says she only campaigned two days and yet received 30% of the vote signaling trouble for trump in the general election. >> you can't threaten people. you can't push them out. because that is not a winning combination to win. and if you look at the early states, he may have won them yes. but he didn't get 40% of the vote. that's no small number. >> haley has not mentioned whether she would stay in the race past super tuesday. her next chance to win dell dpats is right here in d.c. where the gop caucus is held today. there's also a gop caucus in north dakota monday night and remember the magic number here is 1215. that's how many delegates a candidate needs to secure the republican nomination. math mathically speaking it is impossible for trump to become

be close and it will be in effect over -- what do you think happens? haley has repeatedly said she will not move to a no labels ticket. will she drop out after super tuesday? >> that is the question. because her team said over and over again projecting through super tuesday and the fact she had a great fund raising month in january and she has money to propel to keep her going past super tuesday should she choose to do that and said she doesn't have a problem with donors but i think tuesday night we need to hear about what the path forward is. j that's so interesting she has a problem with voters -- not donors. so what does that tell you about -- the party because one, you know she went on -- she's been doing some press since this is all happened and she seems to be angry at the voters. [laughter] and saying you know, what happened to the party and she seems to be unaware that the party has changed.

that it's not the same party she's thought it was. >> uh-huh. we've seen this very clear split you know and being in idaho and new hampshire in south carolina there's very much this split within the party, and it seems that the majority has moved on with president trump. they see him with a flaws that he has, legal problems, they kind of have baked those in most gop voters and they say that is the new direction of the part and minority like it town majority right now it is minority leader but it's a changing of the garden some ways that -- you know marco rubio he put something out on x on friday that said basically vote reverse giving you a different message about what they want and stop mass migration and put america first so that's the messaging that we're getting over and over again from the primary caucus voters. pete: there was a "new york times" poll rattling cages in washington because it shows a clear lead for donald trump. it's amongst registered voters

"new york times" poll up over joe biden how much fear does that put into democrats at this moment? >> they're not happy but they don't see an offramp they're committed to president biden at this point and you know we have discussions about where would they go next and leapfrog over the vice president and hurt them with people excited about the horks nature of her position and believe she should have a chance to make her own argument and democrats know this is what they've got head-to-head so they're going to continue to talk about things they think work for them we'll see in the "state of the union" this week whether president biden talks about policies more or the person more. because they keep saying, president trump is going to destroy democracy he's dangerous, he can't get things done. so we'll see where that message goes. but we've also got brand new fox news polling coming out at 9 a.m. on fox news this morning, that is going is to be -- very interesting for a lot of people and create some more headaches i have a feeling. will: along with which guest on fox news sunday -- >> we have senator marco rubio

is a failing government school system, kids are trapped in give the money to participants let them choose yet get a pushback what about our school when is they have one option. if that option is so good, then it won't be effected by this because the dollar still follow the child to that school. but it could create the market police station for another option. to show up in that rural area or parents to homeschool with the funds that they have so if those schools aren't good they could be in jeopardy again most conservatives should like that market challenge. meaning good schools survive bad schools don't. and yet it is easily demagogued by unions. rachel: donald trump saying that they wants to give a $10,000 tax credit to homeschool parents for each child i think that's -- a great platform that he's -- you know, running on we never seen a presidential candidate say that before. that should be interesting. you had cory delawareing on the show here's what he had to say

about teachers unions. >> i mean vast majority of these guys previously endorsed by state affiliate largest teacher yoinl in the country so excuse about being in a rural area is ask them trying to have their cake and eat it too other states windchill more rural areas like west virginia already have universal school choice. so this is just an excuse i think a lot of these guys are going to lose their seats either in the election on tuesday or in a runoff later on because this is a huge priority of republican primary voters this goes to show you teacher union endorsement has become a political kiss of death for republicans and conservative areas. >> that's so interesting a kiss of death but will i think it is interesting we just did this segment on nikki haley sort of not able to figure out that the party has moved on. it is a different party than it was in the 90s. she's from a different area. same thing could it be that these -- it is not that there's a rural issue here could it be that

these guys are just ouch touch with where americans or concerns are in terms of school choice. >> we forget it is not always about ideas, and i don't know necessarily why these rural republicans would be opposed to school choice i don't think anybody -- on any network has been more supportive of school choice than three of us -- all of our children have benefited from choice when it comes to education and my in particular public school choice living in the city for 15 years and seen affect of failing public schools in harlem upper west side throughout new york city it is a mattered literally -- i don't think i'm overstate took say of life or death. what i'm trying to figure out with republicans are, to your point pete there's could be a level of apathy it doesn't hurt rural voters because we have one choice which is our public school and secondarily it epgdz up being a major employer to teachers union have as outsized influence in a rural district

and then -- one thing i'll say this is where social media becomes valuable somebody said to me welt other problem is you don't have your taxes reduced so you live in some place like that you're paying for the public school, and now, you are not availing yourself of the public school so -- pete: the idea is dollars go to you -- for your voucher, and still paying public school taxings as well. so you know what i'm saying property taxes are still being paid. pete: a portion of them back. you're right on that part. will: sometimes while 88% of republican voters are for it ideologically and support the idea of school choice pleks is sometimes politics. rachel: i would like dig deeper they were all men and i know a lot of moms are really interested in choice for their kids and our -- we're particularly outraged if you looking at the school board meetings that happened in that sort of covid post covid era. you know, most of those were moms going i don't this

from the union for a federal agency like border patrol. >> no. no it is not rachel, in fact, i know several of these men and women who make up the border patrol union. these are career agents. they are dedicated individuals. and they have reached a peak of frustration and disappointment with this administration. i myself i've worked shifts with our border patrol agents overnight in various sectors and i can tell you that the president is not meeting the moment. and more than that, add insult to injury he completely disregards what the agents and border patrol union have been saying. and every time they have extended ol lie branch and work with this administration they get a slap in the face so it comes as no surprise that at this point their frustration is starting to become public but i've been hearing this for years about the total disregard for the agents and the national security that they try to protect. >> congresswoman i had you on my
