who not only are we trdzed by homicide of our child or or loved one. we have to fight with the criminal justice system to try to get justice for the murder of our child. and instead of us being treated with some type of dignity and respect -- the victim is made out to be the killer and the keller is made out to be the victim. in hassan's particular case, mary zander alvin bragg assistant district attorney completely dismissed the gang assaulted an murder indictment against her. secretly -- brought her in front of a judge, dismissed the indictment, then brought her in front of another

judge and rearrest, recharged her with assault with a shoe. and sentenced her to one year time served all in same day behind my back, i was not there. i wasn't allowed to give a victim impact statement. i've never missed a court date in four and a half years. that's the only court date that i missed because they did a sneakily behind my back. >> the d.a. says when in response to some of the krit sesm that he's gotten for prioritizing this trump case is that he goes hard after criminals. this is -- someone that is saying he doesn't allow people believe they are above the law what do you say to that? >> i say it is a bunch of bull. i sat in that courtroom for four and a half years. i watched -- offenders be brought in by detectives because they have five and six and seven open warrants be brought in. you know, on a new charge and walk right back out the same

door they backed in. all right, so no one is being prosecuted in the manhattan district attorney office also the bronx district attorney's office. dare sell clark said out of her own mouth she's the bronx district attorney. that cases are not even going make it to their office anymore. once this reform law goes into effect in 2020 all right people are going to be issued guest appearance tickets and walk right out all right this is why we have such high recidivism why the crime has speaked so out of control. an this raise the age policy that just went into effect that you know, our young people cannot be held as adults 18 and younger it is doing nothing but creating whole other generation of career criminals and mass incarceration. because these children are allowed to get away and commit

numbers are even trickling down right now is because of our police officers doing a decent job. this is someone who was elected to office by a small 5% of manhattan voters in a democratic primary where he just had to prove he was the most woke and the person who wanted to be prosecutor who would do the least amount of prosecutions. i think your last guest really framed him right this is not a law man of the wyatt variety but intentions every time he goes into his desk and sits behind a very powerful office the manhattan district attorney, he, his intention is to let more people go and we see those statistics are even more ace sonnishing the number of misdemeanors that have been dropped and number felonies dropped to misdemeanors or dismissed jot right has never actually been higher in recent history of this office. that should alarm every new yorker, every visitor, every worker who goes to manhattan every single day. >> sir that goes back to the

bigger point, though. i mean you've been covering for years just as well as i have about all of the kids that have been murdered and he has this -- this new talking point nowest that hue a tough on crime person. that no one is above the law -- but yet all of a sudden he's going after the former president but don't do it for other cases. >> well you're absolutely right lawrence it's gut-wrenching when you hear madeleine talk in new york city i was there all of this past week. it didn't matter whether they were democrat or republican independent everybody sounded frustrated people were frustrated with the increase in crime. we saw last year an increase of over 23% in serious crimes i spoke with a police officer in the city -- who was telling me it was just every single day they were dealing with more thieves with more robberies, with carjackings with assaults and i said -- how frustrate ready you to this

officer? you couldn't go on the record with me but he said you know it's -- i'm doing my job all i can do it do my job and hopefully i can save someone's life. but there's nobody out there that has their back and by the way there's no consequences and so when there's no consequences for the people that are committing these crimes, crimes increase. people feel that they can get away with it. but what about the children that you talked about lawrence? what about all of the children that have to walk to school every day? all of the parents that have to worry about their kids every day wonder they're going to come home alive wonder if, you know, their daughter could be assaulted on a subway. this is very serious, i think d.a. bragg has caught himself now between a rock and a hard place. he's not getting any love from the left. right not getting any love from the left and certainly doesn't have any love from the right. lawrence: that's my question also because joe he's been coming to council begging for more money after day one lowering -- the standards in our criminal justice system for which we

prosecute people that clearly break the law. he got rid of the enhancements for weapon charges look -- i mean this is just a pattern of behavior and he says he needs more money. >> yeah. he's come to the counsel sill begging for more money and basically saying he can't comply with the existing discovery laws because there just aren't enough and changing discovery laws yet to prosecute trump. that list comes from literally day one memo he said at the outset of his term he's not going to prosecute most low level misdemeanors and if you heard what the president former president donald trump said earlier today -- he basically said what i'm being accused of is not a crime i'll ask anyone this. there's plenty of violations by the federal election commission, that the state board of elections board of elections all of these campaign finance

in to keep this weekend? getting any worse joining me now fbi special agent nicole parker. thanks so much for joining the program again this week. i'm hearing from sources that are on the ground that miami beach cops weren't giving the support that they needed for something like this. they decided to make this a family-friendly event. i don't understand how when you have kids that are literally twirking in middle of the street guns pulled out execution style murdering happening. where are cops those are enemy matter and what are they saying? >> you know florida is a law and order state, and being a former fbi agent i have worked shoulder to shoulder with many of these officers and miami beach police department, the miami-dade plpped, the city of miami, they are all pitching in to help. and you know, there are never enough officers when you have that many people coming in -- into your city. it has been very, very crowded.

and i know that i was with you last weekend when we covered this. and it was very unfortunate there were two homicides back to back, and there was also an additional shooting on 5th street this week as well. thankfully there was no death as a result of that. but there's no room for violence in miami beach and i am a resident of miami beach. and i've lived there several years and we've seen an increase in crime over spring break and it is something that we take very seriously. >> you know nicole as someone that is a local -- as well as someone that is in law enforcement, i want you to put that local hat on. does it seem like the leaders there are prioritizing money over public safety right now? because you know the police can try to enforce laws that are on the book but it seem like city has set a climate for this type of lawlessness to occur. >> you know there's always that balance that you need to strike right you've got businesses this has a prime time for them and

business and you have community members and safety so you have to balance business with the safety. and my opinion, safety always comes first and it should come first. no one should be scared to feel like they may be killed or residents they shouldn't have to leave that weekend or those weeks that these tourists are coming in. everyone should be safe. i think what govan desantis has done in providing extra support to miami beach has been phenomenal. i saw it last weekend i was out last night, it was a very, very stark contrast we have the strait troopers that have come in and provided additional assistance, and it has made a very big difference with random dui checks an taken bridge that comes into miami beach down to one lane and cars are being randomly checked and that has made a significant difference unfortunately traffic for those coming in it is -- you know a lot more traffic but that's also a deterrent for those that don't want to be patient and -- abide by laws. so i know that it is a team

effort. i can tell you that miami beach police officers and all that are working they have been working what we call shifts they've been working -- day after day after day. for the entire month of march. every officer is expected to work friday, saturdays, sunday, they do not get rest right now. and i think the most important message that i have -- is how important it is for law enforcement to be supported. these officers deserve our respect and those that come to miami beach they need to know that if you do not obey law you will be held accountable and we need to supports our law enforcement they're putting their lives on the line every day and it is very, very important and leadership they need to support law enforcement as well and allow them tods their jobs so we can all be safe and enjoy miami beach. lawrence: you're so right nicole parker thank you so much. now another fox news alert out of mississippi. devastation beyond imagination. that's the latest from the ground after a dozen tornadoes
