despite his 11th hour hail mary to help his party, democrats continue to go to great lengths to distance themselves from the fearless leader. comes to us courtesy of mark pryor, take a look. >> well, you know, he has been a drag. i'm just going to be honest about that. people here know that i've had my fair share of disagreements with him and you can look at, you know, gun control issues, keystone pipeline, never supported one of his budgets. >> fox news chief white house correspondent standing by in the briefing room with all the detail, ed, a lot of democrats running fast and far. >> you're right, that's candid comment right there from senator mark pryor verbalizing something democrats have been saying in private. some publicly, you had gene in new hampshire, endangered democrat running against scott
10:02 pm
brown who in a debate recently said, she just doesn't want the president in her state. look, he's busy with isis and ebola, he should stay in washington and do that, instead of trying to campaign for her. what the president's been doing, he's been doing a lot of radio interviews so he's not in the public eye, standing next to one of the candidates, instead, mostly with african american radio stations, trying to pump up the african american vote, some of these key southern states like georgia, north carolina, et cetera, the other thing the president is also doing, you mentioned that event focussing today in rhode island on the economy and how it impacts women. he's trying to exploit a gender advantage he had against mitt romney in 2012, but today, republicans released an ad charging that the real war against women is some of the president's policies. listen. >> while many women are working hard to support themselves and their families, they're still facing unfair choices, outdated workplace policies.
10:03 pm
that holds them back, but it also holds all of us back. we have to do better because women deserve better and by the way, when women do well, everybody does well. >> these comments are deplorable, and that is the reason why according to to the associated press, women voters are turning to republicans. >> this is the democratic candidate for governor, challenging nicky haley, he said this -- >> and we are going to escort whore, out the door. >> now while he was in rhode island, the president took time off from campaigning to buy a pretty decadent dessert known as a death by chocolate. probably too decadent for the first lady's choice, but not too decadent for some of my colleagues in the white house. he asked the reporters traveling with him to give josh ernest a day off for halloween. and they basically did that, and later got some of a second chocolate cake we're told that was purchased, i'm not saying there's a pro quo there, sean,
10:04 pm
but it is embarrassing that we sort of didn't ask josh any questions today about the big issues, just a few days before the midterm election. >> especially a lot of the issues that are coming up here. look at this, the race issues that have evolved in georgia, in north carolina, the comments by mary landru and charlie wraingle in new york. has josh been asked about these issues? we'll be showing the tape tonight. >> no, mary made those comments to nbc yesterday about suggesting that maybe it was racism and sexism that was olding back the president and holding her back in here race in louisiana. that's the kind of question we should be putting to josh ernest, there's no briefing because when the president travels, it's traditional, there's no briefing here at the briefing on air force ve an one. i'm not saying it's the end of the world, but it's the thing we push for more access, this is the day where we should have ak stoesz his press secretary pressing for answers on the issues. look, there's a bhoel series of stories today, los angeles
10:05 pm
times, elsewhere, about how the isis strategy is faultering. these are the kind of questions we should be putting to people in power, especially lip just a few days before an election. >> ed henry at the white house tonight, thank you. >> mary is making headlines today after playing the race card regarding voters and her opinion of president obama and fox and friends first co-host ainsley earhart joins us with the details. >> hey sean, let's talk about mary landru as you have with ed earlier. she's facing major heat today after making these comments to chuck todd on nbc, take a listen. >> very, very honest with you in the south is not always been the friendliest place for african americans, its been a difficult time for the president to present himself in a very positive light as a leader. not always been a good place for women to be able to present ourselves, it's more of a
10:06 pm
conservative place. so we've had to work a little bit harder on that, but you know, but the people trust me, i believe, really they do. top trust me to do the right thing for the state. >> well the state's governor, bobby jindal is firing back releasing this statement which reads in part, the president's policies which senator landru supports are unlargely unsupport are ill advised. his administration has also proven to be incompetent blaming it on race is ridiculous. the senator is fighting to keep her seat in louisiana. she is neck and neck with bill cassidy with just four days left until this big election. the latest suffix poll shows her at 36% and cassidy at 35%, sean. so it's going to be very interesting to see if those devices remarks are going to effect the extremely tight race. back to you.
10:07 pm
>> here with reaction tonight are the author of the brand new book, "race pimping," and joining us, kevin jackson, you heard the comments that mary landru. she also added to that, its not always been a good place for women to present ourselves, she's a three-term senator. she served there for 18 years. do you really believe a. country that voted for barack obama, do you think that that's a fair statement, the use of that? >> well, you know, sean, i think we have to be very careful because the achievements of the few do not mitigate the pain and the struggles of the many. and so, when i look at her, i heard her comments, but i think that we've got to look at the fact that the black women have the median wealth of $5. and, white women have the median household wealth, 61% of white men. >> has that gotten better -- but
10:08 pm
wait are black americans under barack obamas policies? he's been president six years. we have millions of more americans on food stamps, million more in poverty. has he fixed the problems? >> thehousing crisis occurred on president bush's watch. i don't to want fix the blame, i want to fix the problem. i want to close the pay exwety gap. i want to close that. i want to raise the minimum wage. >> let's talk about that. >> no, that is a very real issue. >> that's a very different issue. >> that's not what we're discussing, we're discussing the use -- >> okay. >> we're discussing the device of use of racial politics, race baiting, by politicians in georgia, in north carolina, now by a senator by the name of mary landru, kevin, do you think that this is a desperate party that now is resorting, not to their
10:09 pm
record, but to racial politics because they can't get elected any other way? >> absolutely, sean. the democrats are running around like sprayed roaches. and it's so fun to watch because barack obama made a comment just recently that the economy is really doing well. you know what the problem with that, he doesn't even recognize, is barack obama is slapping all the black people in the face that he has not been able to get jobs for, all the communities that don't have businesses, that have a lack of opportunity that are creating all the problems that we're experiencing with some of these kids in ferguson and other places, he's creating this. you can't have your cake and eat it too, democrats, this is solidly on his shoulders. and it's fun to watch. elbert talked about mary landru, you were making a big point. she's been a senator for 18 years and hasn't done a thing to solve the problems that she's talks about, she hasn't done anything for the black community, and now she wants to pull the race card and say hey, where i'm from doesn't like black people. there are black people don't
10:10 pm
there and they don't like democrats or barack obama. >> respectfully -- >> shh. >> this is not fun top watch, sean. this is not a game of bipartisan betrayal, sean. sean, this has happened -- >> no. >> santita, he has an ad out that says black people are being used by people like michelle nun who refuse that flier that was distribu distributed, and here's what he said. >> just like always, black folk in georgia are being herded to the polls by overseers, promising salvation, but who among us have they saved? nearly 30% of black folks in georgia live below the poverty line despite always voting for the ticket, and this year's no different. michelle nun has been put forth as our new redeemer. you see, black people are just
10:11 pm
being used so that the royal ceptor can be passed from one generation to the next. you are not michelle nun's cause, and you are certainly not her charity, you are just a vote. you're just a means to an end so that she can ascend to power, but liberalism is nearly destroyed our community. and now, we have an opportunity to return the favor. on election day, we will tell senator sam starter, no thanks, we will have none. >> and i can give you the history. >> this is really, really objectionab objectionable. >> it's objectionable, but let me give you the history. hang on. >> from the right and the left -- >> let me finish my sentence. >> i'm sorry. >> in 1998, democratic party had a radio ad that said if you elect republicans, black churches will burn. then al gore goes before a predominantly black audience and
10:12 pm
says, republicans don't want to even count you in the census. hillary goes before predominantly black audience and changes her entire cadence, this is now every election cycle, your party, the democratic party of the south by the way of george wallace, bole conner. they do this every election. why don't you step up and say this, by your party is wrong. >> i'm not in the condemnation business. >> you should be. >> no, i should not. i don't believe in that. i've been with you before. look -- >> you don't stand up for right versus wrong? >> wait a minute, the chairman of the republican national committee, came before the naacp in 2005 and apologized for the southern strategy. look, i think we need -- >> oh gee. how ridiculous. >> no, he did that, i didn't do that. we need -- >> you talk about 2005, it's 2014. >> we need, we need, no, we need
10:13 pm
to stop respectfully, we need to stop the games. this conversation is not raising the minimum wage. black women have a median wealth of $5. what are you doing -- and republicans have played the race card too. why don't we both stop? >> their policies aren't helping the black community, kevin? >> what are you putting forth to help the black community and women? >> you're exactly right. all this other talk about what's happening with women and all these very statistics, it's what's going on with the democrats, they are scrambling because they've been found out. many blacks are saying we want positive results, and we don't want lip service. let me tell you, it's lucky for obama that he's running his ads on the radio so he can't see people turning them off or walking out on him. that's what's happening, people are finally understanding the race pimping that's going on and the trillion it cost this country every decade to go with it. >> well, i have to tell you --
10:14 pm
>> we have to leave this right here. >> we are not closing the cap, and i hope i can come back and have a conversation about that. >> santita, you need to ask yourself are these good for this country and the answer is no. the answer is no. these ads are race-baiting ads. >> i don't believe in -- >> you won't condemn them. it's happening today. right before your eyes. >> did you condemn the southern strategy three years ago? >> i conquer, the year -- concur, the democratic party is -- >> we should not be doing that. >> look -- >> don't fix the blame. fix the problem, sean. >> up next tonight, it's on "hannity." >> if the gop can't win back the senate in a climate like this, maybe the party ought to look for another country. >> charles krauten hammer joins us next why he believes they are a referendum on president obama's failures, and then later
10:15 pm
tonight. >> the same years she gave her own staff, 25% pay increases, that is the worst kind of politics, and we are going to escort whore out the door. >> we're going to play you the full tape, that and more tonight on "hannity." welcome back to "hannity" he also believes the stage is set for a major gop victory on tuesday, but he adds that if the party cannot take back the senate in four short days, maybe time for the leaders to look for another line of work. and in a very desperate attempt to win some votes on tuesday, democrats are resorting to their old tricks, the race card, listen to this. >> everything we believe in, everything we believe in they hate. they don't disagree, they hate. they think that if you didn't come from europe, we shouldn't have immigration. some of them believe that slavery is an oe men and that
10:19 pm
they won the civil war. they refuse to help to have a wage where people can live a decent life. >> author of the number one best seller, over a million copies sold, things that matter, good friend dr. charles krauthammer, good to see you, sir. >> pleasure to be here, sean. >> all right. every election year, we see the democratic party, they will divide the country, rich versus poor, old versus young, black versus white, they'll scare women and children, happens every year, but, now it's georgia, north carolina, landru in louisiana, charlie rankle, there seems to be more desperation, your reaction. >> well the desperation come into play when you don't have any arguments. the 2010 election, the that lacking the democrats took was about ideology. it was aboutut liberal overreac the stimulus, obamacare,
10:20 pm
overtaxation, overregulation, and we know what the result was, that set off this counterreaction called the tea party, and what we're seeing now six years later is an election that's not only about ideology, it is a rejection of hyperliberalism, but now there's an overlay of sheer and competence because in the second year of this administration, 2010, all of the stuff was aspirational, it was in the future. well now we've seen six years of obamaism, and actually the problem is not just the ideas and the ambitions, it's the fact that they are just incompetent. remember in 1988, michael ducacas said this isn't about ideology, it's about competence, well that's because if you're a liberal, you don't want it to be about ideology, you won't use the word. now we've seen six years of governess, and now we see this string of incompetence,

10:22 pm
be made, charles, that these tactics, as despicable as they are, work. and that's problematic. how should the republicans fwhb your view respond or not respond in some cases? >> i think that when you're accused of being a racist, you don't even dignify the accusation with a response because then you're conceding the premise. i have to prove i'm not a racist. i oppose the president because of his policies, i have since the beginning of his administration. if someone wants to imply on account of his race, i will not give them the dignity of a response. that's not america. and i don't, it might work on the fringes, i believe when you scare old people on policy, and you say they want to remove your social security and your medicare, well, that's one kind of argument, i don't think it's actually true, but that's not quite anned a homonym, that's stretching the truth. but when you accuse someone of rate chl orsexism, when you do
10:23 pm
a mary landru that she did yesterday, i think that's beneath contempt, you cannot speak about the issues, well, let me explain to the people why the issues at stake here are the ones in which you are on the wrong side, and it has nothing to do with race and nothing to do with gender. >> all right. charles krauthammer, appreciate your insightful commentary. what are you predicting in terms of senate seats? what do you think the outcome will be, if not by november 5th, maybe by december or january, what is the make up? >> i'm not going out on a limb by saying i'd say there's at least a 70% chance the senate goes republican, and i would say 51 or 52 votes. if we get, look at new hampshire, if there's some, in some way jean sheheen loses to scott brown, then we're going getting away. >> we're in the same ball park.

welcome back to "hannity," right here on this program, i have been speaking out against the dirty, race-baiting tactics, the made up war on women that those on the left use to jen up emotion. now with only day to go until the plex. one top democrat is agreeing with me, watch this. >> i believe that in ways large and small, peaceful and sometimes violent, that the biggest threat to the future of our children and grandchildren is the poison of identity politics that preaches that our differences are far more important than our common humanity. >> all right, joining me now respond to president clinton's comments is his former special council. he loves the clinl tons, lanny
10:28 pm
davis. you know lanny, i think back when hillary was going against barack obama. bill clinton said, they use the race card on him. and they planned it from the very beginning. remember that? so now we see the race card being played in georgia, north carolina, we heard mary landrieu's comments, i can trace the history in modern democratic politics, it goes back for decades now, and i think it's even gotten worse this year. what do you say to that? >> well, first of all, i love bill clinton for what he stands for, which despite all the divisions we remember when he was president, he got some pretty, pretty hard shots thrown at him, he's always been somebody who sees common principles and doesn't go forred a homonam what charles was talking about. that's what identity politics is not with him. i agree with him completely, i think both parties do it. i think we're all paying a penalty and the american people are disgusted with both parties
10:29 pm
in the polarization that we see here in washington. >> let me ask you, all right, so, we got mary landrieu this year, we got it happening on behalf of kay hagan in north carolina, michelle nun in georgia, those are three examples where the party's using the race card this year and i can play all the tapes and show you all the fliers. this season we've seen republicans doing it. >> i really haven't followed the republicans very much. i must say that i get more bothered when it comes from democrats because they're my party. i certainly remember -- >> there is no -- >> in year's past, i remember the willie horton ad. i think republicans have a history. he apologized for it. so i just think that michelle nun made a mistake. and allowing this to happen. she's a very good person, mary landrieu is an outstanding person.
10:30 pm
i don't think she defended. >> reporter: mary landrieu -- lanny. michelle nun did. >> i don't think she meant it. i don't think meant it that way, sean, but i give them the benefit of the doubt. >> we played the tape. i'm giving the benefit of the doubt, but mary landrieu called them racist and sexist yesterday in her interview with chuck todd. >> i known her for years, she's a really good person, if she said that, that's not the mary landrieu that i know -- >> would you like me me to play it for you? >> i'd like to see the full context. >> she's very straightforward. >>. >> i don't want to waste time. >> you know what lanny, if one party is dividing the country, male versus female, black versus white, rich versus poor, old versus young, that is a major significant issue. if those are the tactics they've got to use to win.
10:31 pm
let me use for example, mitt romney had binders of women's resumes, people he would like to have hired, that became such a big deal in the 2012 election, listen to what the democratic candidate shaheen is saying about nicky haley and more importantly, let's assume he misspoke, watch the reaction both of the crowd and his reaction. watch this. >> she vetoed our public school teachers, pay raises, the same year she gave her own staff 25% pay increases, that is the worst kind of politics. and we are going to escort whore out the door, we're going to escort her out the door. yeah, ha-ha. bring about it, y'all. all right. calm down out there. huh. >> that really creepy laugh, escort whore out the door, doesn't apologize, laughs about it, the crowd laughs about it.
10:32 pm
if a republican did that, lanny, you and i both know, it would be katie bart door, good-bye, that candidate's finished by the media. i'm sure you don't accept that, do you? >> no, i think it's disgusting, and i wish that person wasn't a democrat. i've seen same kind of horrible stuff from republicans over the years, and if we agree on anything, what bill clinton is trying to tell the american people is we can be liberals, conservatives, and debate the issues. i am a friend of hillary clinton's because that's the kind of persons she is. if she runs against jeb bush, i hope it isn't jeb bush because he'll be the toughest one of all, it's going to be a high level campaign with an earning gauge in that kind of nonsense and that disgusting devicive politics, they'll despite the issue -- >> let me ask you a tough question. >> be able to benefit that. >> you're a very good friend with the clintons, you love bill and hillary. it was such a big issue in 2012, the so-called manufactured war
10:33 pm
on women because mitt romney had women's resumes in a binder. who do you think has a worse record with women, bill clinton or mitt romney? >> you know, i think mitt romney is a good guy, and i think his positions on issues, on choice would be viewed as something i strongly disagree with. i wouldn't attribute -- >> how about bill clinton's treatment of women? >> where i differ with my fellow democrats, i disagree with you on the issue. then i don't apply a label, the war on women. never like that, still don't. but i strongly disagree with the republican party's position in its platform on -- >> comment about bill. did bill mistreat women? bill clinton personally? >> bill clinton has had his personal weaknesses, and you always love to dwell on that. >> weaknesses? or mistreatment of women? >> i think he apologized to the country plenty of times to even satisfy you, sean, and you want
10:34 pm
to dwell on that, i think what he said about identity politics -- >> i'm just asking considering this is such a big topic by the democrats. >> well, you haven't gone past 1998, i know that's when you had your. >> reporter: i'm way past it. >> but now you're talking good talk about bill clinton. >> way passed it. >> i'll tell you why he bothers me. the democrats seem to claim they have a monopoly of compassion for women and minorities, i look at the economy under barack obama and the people hurt most are minorities and women in terms of pay and the number of people that are now in poverty or on food stamps because his policies have failed. the promises that he made he was never able to keep, but yet democrats keep advancing false narratives about republicans, hating grandma, not liking women, being racist, wanting dirty water and dirty air, and i'm tired of it because i know those that i think things are lies, but in the past they've

so those are, those are two seats that the republicans kind of have in reserve if they need them after tuesday. >> what do you think, frank, what's been the best campaign that you've been witnessing and the worst campaign? >> i think the worst campaign, the two worst campaigns of the republican candidates in michigan and in minnesota. that in both cases they try humor to and elector rat who is upset. there's almost no funny ad that have worked in 2014. the best campaign, scott, i'm going to tell you something, scott brown in new hampshire. i know that virtually every poll has shown him behind by two or three points, everything i'm seeing and the voters i've talked to, he's been gaining and gaining over the last two weeks. because of an amazing ad campaign. >> going to be very interesting. >> that one's very close, and the other one is cory gardner in colorado, he's had the best, positive campaign of any senate candidate because he looks people in the straight in the
