in malaga this afternoon. world number one novak djokovic will play british number one cameron norrie in the first singles match. tennis correspondent russell fullerjoins us. how do you think britain — who won the trophy in 2015 — will do against the mighty serbia without dan evans and andy murray? losing both players is clearly a disadvantage to captain leon smith. i don't think andy murray would have played in any of the ties but that experience would have been very handy in a nonplaying capacity to liam smith and the other players on the team bench. dan evans is a very big loss because he was not only plain singles but also doubles to a very high level. he has played a major part in getting great britain to the finals. as a result, it focuses the mind. there is no chance for leon smith to try and surprise his counterpart from serbia with his team selection, so we know it will be jack draper in the opening match, cameron norrie against novak djokovic in the second match and the

must mean more to people. before i came out it was difficult, i suffered quite a bit with my mental health. i think ijust couldn't really accept myself at the time. i told myself i would be straight and it would change i would get a girlfriend but i knew that wasn't going to happen. it was difficult to start with and then i had to come out because it was affecting my football. ijust had to come out. told my parents and then since then it has been amazing. i havejust learnt to not care about what other people think. it is my life, i'm a footballer, i'm a gay footballer and thatis footballer, i'm a gay footballer and that is what i have always wanted to be. ijust kind of don't care what other people think. i do see it and it does effective, especially some things but the positives where it really me smile. in september, henderson did say that he'd been really hurt by the criticism he has received, insisting his intention had always been to help causes and communities and that he had not changed as a person. the bbc has approached henderson for comment. the number of south asian men's professional footballers in england

zak o'sullivan says the chance to test williams' 2023 formula 1 car at this weekend's season—ending abu dhabi grand prix can boost hisjunior career. the 18—year—old williams academy driver will drive the fw45 during the first practice session on friday. of course at this point all the drivers have done a whole season in the cars so they're quite acclimatised. i will be giving my all of course. everyone*s goal competing in f2 is to make it to f1. everybody is focusing on performing well enough to. i am lucky enough to be at williams. one of the benefits of being in an academy is not only that potentially there was a slot in f1 if i perform well is it takes up some of the financial pressure which is very useful. i have been with them every weekend whether it is learning tracks myself. there are some similarities to f2 and f3 cars.

i am learning as much as possible. the main limiting factor of course are my results. the main aim for me is to prove to williams that i am capable and see where it goes from there. it is any driver's dream, especially coming through the junior ranks, to be in an f1 session. for it finally to come, i have been waiting for it for a while. you can get all the latest sports news at from the bbc sport app, orfrom our website — that's bbc.co.uk/sport. from me and the rest of the team at the bbc sport centre, goodbye. hello, you are watching bbc news. let's get more on yesterday's autumn statement, where

the chancellorjeremy hunt announced a £10 billion cut in national insurance for millions of workers. but councils are warning that according to the plans, they'll facing an additional £4 billion shortfall in funding over the next three years, leading to big cuts in services. let's speak to councillor barry lewis now. he is the leader of derbyshire county council and also the vice chair of the county council network, which represents most of england's county councils. councillor, i would just start by getting your reaction to the autumn statement because you are critical of some of the chancellor's plans. yeah, i am. of some of the chancellor's plans. yeah, iam. critical of of some of the chancellor's plans. yeah, i am. critical of the lack of recognition of the seriousness of the problem that faces local authorities up and down the country. there is an opportunity during the autumn statement to at least recognise that local authorities are facing the most severe funding landscape that they have had for
