A 're-imagining' of the 1950 Coronet film featured at Archive.org, this film was assembled to celebrate the marriage of Daniela Votavova and Aaron Simpson. It was originally screened in Ceske Krumlov, Czech Republic for wedding guests on the eve of the ceremony. Big thanks to the Prelinger Archives and Archive.org - we found nearly every type of shot we wanted on this site, in unbelievable quality and with relative ease.

Subject: I Suppose They're as Ready as They'll Ever Be
Scenes from classic Prelinger marriage films are interspersed with a contemporary couple, who act as if they are interacting with the characters from the films, especially the marriage counselor from Are You Ready for Marriage? This is lively and fun, though it could be funnier. On the other hand, itÃÂs far and away the best wedding video IÃÂve ever seen.

We laughed, we cried. Mostly, we want the name of the marriage counselor as we "ping." Since that didn't seem to be an X or Y coordinate, we're hoping that's not a problem....

Pretty damn funny, but maybe a bit long. It's clips from other films I've seen on the archives intercut with black and white footage of the two that made it. Cool idea - but some jokes were hard to understand. Liked the music! And funny sound effects. I'd say make another, but would that mean you two would have to get married again?
